Not really the point though, you may well have been fine with it. I Worked in the investigation the sexual abuse of children for a few years. I dealt with plenty of young girls 13+ would would say they enjoyed sleeping with the men who took advantage of them, they loved the attention, the sense of maturity it gave them, they enjoyed the sex. Exactly the same as you say you’d have felt if it’s had been you, doesn’t make it right or diminish it in any way. No one would say ‘maybe she enjoyed it if…

Yes in the UK you’ll do half your sentence inside and the other half on licence. The only exception is murder where, if convicted, you’ll get a life sentence, though they then decide what that tariff will mean and sometimes a ‘life’ sentence can be set as low as maybe 12 years.

Not in the UK, 6 years is a pretty steep sentence for something like this male or female.

This stuff is becoming stupid, there's no flash photography in the trial, no one is taking her photo she's looking at a monitor that's just lit up. You got to wonder how many people here are actually paying any attention to the actual trial or just being led by the nose by posts here.

Matt Orchard does quite a good balanced video about their relationship https://youtu.be/ORdP71jJRyc Plus the summary from the ruling of the British libel case is a long but detailed read, a lot of stuff that hasn’t yet been talked about in the latest case https://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/QB/2020/2911.pdf

Couple of things, firstly how is this a pussypass denied? It just seems to be saying that the defamation case is trundling along. Secondly, who tf wrote this? Did they just smash their face into the keyboard? I almost had a stroke trying to work out what was being said in this piece of ‘journalism’.

A quick Google search shows one guy called Kevin Smith came forward but refused to make s complaint or be part of an investigation. Do you have a link for the others you mention?
/r/PussyPassDenied24/11/21 06:16 PM

The main difference would be that there were victims who came forward in relation to Cosby and made criminal complaints and took part in the court process. To the best of my knowledge no victim has ever come forward and made a complaint in relation to Cardi B.

It’s not a typo, that implies a mistake, that you hit the wrong button, its basic English that kids learn at a young age, it’s just stupidity on your behalf. Unless of course you’re under 10 or English isn’t your 1st language, if it’s either of those then I apologise. You think I’m a snowflake, that I’d be bad at a party. I think people that use a word like ‘snowflake’ are as cringe af. All subjective I guess.

We could go back and forth all day. I disagree, I think every bit of objective information points towards them being cut from the same cloth and as bad as each other, you think he's OK and just has a bit of a problem with alcohol. I can't explain this in a more simplistic way, the only person advocating from anyone in this conversation iis you, you keep.on portraying Johnny depp as an innocent when you have nothing at all that supports that idea. You've just decided based on nothing apart from what he and his team decides to release. I've been very clear that I think they are both as bad as each other, the only person favoring one side is you, so not sure where fanclub comes from. What evidence have you offered up? That's simply not true. That's what makes a nonsense of this, "no one has anything negative to say about him" that's just made up. I would suggest you read the summing up from from libel trial, there's plenty of people who gave evidence about depps aggressive nature. There's people he physically attacked, there's staff, there's people from his team who had to testify to seeing him kicking heard on a flight back from Australia. Well.mine is based on reading the evidence that was presented in the libel.trial which at least contains testimony from people who where actually there and witnessed various incidents. I don't think it's unrealistic to arrive at an opinion after that, I mean its what we ask juries to do every day. The guy who responded has offered an opinion based on literally nothing, that Depp was worn down until he had no option but to react violently, that has just been pulled out of the air. Have you read rhe summing up from the libel trial? Its quite long about 130 pages, though it's a.much more detailed window into both their lives than any anecdote that someone might give about meeting one of them some time. Both of them are destructive, violent, there's plenty of testimony there under oath about depp attacking people, attacking heard even. -23

If you do any objective reading on it then most people would accept that they are both horrendous people and subjected each other to physical and emotional abuse for years, but on reddit everyone seems to think that Depp is some kind of innocent, I think it's because they've seen him be an eccentric pirate in films and think they know him.

No, they’re not SAS they’re just normal people on a TV show where they get a very watered down taste of the training over a couple of weeks. People drop out at various times when it gets too much for them until it’s down to the last couple.

"The investigative report also says at no time did he threaten harm or violence" All he did was criticise the system and a judge in particular. I always hear "but he breached his bond" but his bond related tot he exact same thing, criticising a judge, which according to americans he should never have been arrested for in the 1st place. Well she was arrested, brought to a police station, interviewed and then released after charge, she spent about 2 hours there, if this meets your definition of jailed,, then I guess she was jailed. Because by its very nature a scrimmage is just a kick about, a very informal game, a chance for them to get a run out and try different things, their goal isn’t to win the game. I mean they were playing Russia shortly after, they were hardly going to go all out in this.

Means absolutely zero. She confessed to drugging and robbing who? Linking an article about some guy who says he was one of the victims but doesn't want to get involved doesn't get anyone convicted. Who would be called as a witness to say that she did it? I mean I live in Ireland if I say that she did it to me as well when I was on holiday but I don't want to get involved in a trial should she be convicted of that too? You need people to step up and be prepared to give evidence in court.

The difference probably is that a number of Cosby’s victims came forward and actually made complaints and took part in a trial and saw him convicted. Far as I know no one has actually came forward and accused her of drugging and robbing them. Her comments are despicable, but how would you see a trial working in relation to her? Where are the victims?

I feel like I'm repeating myself in these comments. Ive listened to the tapes, I am not saying Heard isn't a liar and abusive. I fully believe she is. For you to say that only thing Heard has are some pictures is totally wrong. I can oy encourage you to read the ruling which incudes every aspect of their 7byear relationship and the representations made by both sides.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/11/20 09:41 AM

That's all I'm trying to say. Or at least encourage people to read the full ruling and make their own mind up when in possession of all the information. A week ago I was the exact same, squarely in the Depp camp until I read the full ruling. Its just the nature of reddit. There's a hive mind and if you disagree with it then you get downvoted.

I feel like I'm having to write big replies to all these comments. I don't agree with what WBs has done, if Depp is suffering consequences for his actions then Heard certainly should as well. I don't support Heard I think she's a liar and an abuser. But I'd also suggest that the perople commenting read the full ruling from the libel case (I've attached a copy here) it's a big insight into their lives. No, I don't mean any of that. I understand that this is reddit and this is how it works, that there's only black and white. In this case its Heards the abuser and Depp is the innocent. I post something like my comment which really clearly states that I beleuev theybare both awful, yet it will inevitably be seen as supporting Heard. What do you mean he did nothing? They’re both horrendous, serial abusers. It’s not fair if he is being punished for it and she isn’t. You should read the full ruling from the libel case, anyone who does would see they’re plainly as bad as each other.

This has been up for months. It was started during the divorce case, then died a death when everyone on the internet moved on to the next shiny issue. Well there's nowhere I've given an opinion one way or the other as tot he truth of what she did, but you're of course etitled to think that means I'm 'captain save a hoe' I've worked for 17 years in the investigation sexual offences against children. I just think I have some objectivity. It could be someone who made something up, but for the mob to simply decide that must be the case just 'because' to me is kind of pathetic.

Yes it is innocent until proven guilty, doesn't really change my question. Just so I understand your pout are you saying that anyone who comes forward with a historical allegation of sexual assault., that it just their word against another's then they are all obviously lying, I can understand how it would be very difficult to secure a conviction in those circumstance but you're saying all allegations of that type are obviously false?

Yes he is innocent until proven guilty, where did i say he wasn't? Though equally you have her labelled a liar without any evidence of that. It's a terrible thing the young man killed himself, but doing so doesn't automatically make her a liar. Truth is the only person who now knows is her. So what if she first spoke up on social media, so what if she appears to not care he's dead, maybe she hates him and is glad. Thing is this could be a story about someone who falsified an allegation. As you usually see in these types of clips. No one gets involved when it's the girl being aggressive but as soon as the guy responds there's someone putting hands on him.

Did they redecorate room like three times during the incident? Different head board, different wall colours.

Her only regret is that the 'assault' was caught on camera, that she was stupid enough to forget for a minute that there were 50 cameras watching everything they do.

My original comment was me stating my own experience of seeing adults who are damaged as a result of experiences like this as a child,Literally what I did as a job and your reply was to tell me I'm wrong, in what way? are you saying I didn't work with these people that I didn't see those things, Which is insulting, I dont know what you do for a living, but imagine coming out with a fact based on your professional experience and then having some random on the internet just tell you it's nonsense,…

Just so I understand your point fully, if I was a 50 year old male teacher and I got into a relationship a 15 year old boy in my class and was bringing him to my house for sex, you'd be OK with it as long as the kid was enjoying it.

Do you know that a lot of children, like 12 or 13 year olds who are groomed by adults actually enjoy it. They like the sexual activity, that's one of the big stumbling blocks of them coming forward as adults, the shame that they feel that they played an enthusiastic role at the time. I worked in child abuse investigation for years and the image of a creepy old man abusing a crying little girl, of course exists, but isn't by any way the norm. Molesters are cunning and manipulative. But by your ra…

Oh mate, you are so wrong, I worked in the investigation of child abuse for a few years and the number of men I dealt with who went through this as kids and their lives and relationships are now fucked would amaze you. It's such a naive notion to think that this doesn't wreck peoples lives. Your assumption that this will have zero effect on these two young guys without you knowing the first thing about them, is part of th reason things like this don't get the attention they should.

It's not in the middle of a 70000+ station, that a bit melodramatic, 70000 people aren't focused on what's happening. It's literally no different from almost every night in any big town or city where you are taking someone out of a crowd, you don't pick anyone up and carry them on your shoulders exactly because things like this happen. I mean chats like this could go round in circles all night we just probably disagree.

It's bread and butter policing, it happens in every town centre, every day, picking her up on your shoulders and carrying her out is a bad move, you can't control any of her upper body and this is what happens.

Lol, whatever helps you move on mate. What kind of verification would you like exactly? a picture of my warrant card? No I'm not going to go through your comments, you're the one calling people a liar, not me. I honestly couldn't give a shit what you do for a living and it doesn't really matter to me whether some random on the Internet believes what I do for a job. If you think that video shows people doing their job well then youre wrong. I'm perfectly content with what I've done in my time and…

You don't have to rough her up to take control of her, don't carry her, put her on the ground take control of her arms and march her out quick so her feet are barely touching the ground. If anything from the publics perspective that would be less of a spectacle then this and none of the cops would have got slapped across the eyes.

Sorry mate, don't mean to burst your bubble or get in the way of your rant, bit of a leap for you to assume I've never had to physically restrain someone before, I've been in the police for 16 years. Restrained, apprehended probably 100s of people over the years, as well as the day to day job, I would attend refresher training in relation to it 3 or 4 times a year. one of the most basic things you do is take control of their arms, usually at the elbow and wrist if possible, guess why? to stop th…

Six cops can't take control of a girl without resorting to knocking her out. Big training shortfall there, what way is that to transport anyone from anywhere.

It's a show, the 'court' is just a set. she used to be a judge (though I think you retain the title even if you retire) , before you go on you sign a contract to abide by her ruling. Great thing is that is any damages are awarded against you the show pays them.

Grow up mate "is your pee pee hard" "white knight doofus" do you not feel stupid posting something like that? Did you type that, push back from the keyboard and think "there, that taught him" are you a child? By the way you can actually look up what happened. It's well documented online, but come in fella have a bit of pride in yourself.

I think there was more to this. The person in question was being abusive to other customers and the girl refused to serve them because of that. It's just because the person being abused was trans, that it's OK to put it on this sub and tear strips off her. If this was a server who had refused to serve someone who was verbally abusing a vet for example and she got sacked for refusing to serve the abuser, we'd be calling for the shop to be boycotted.

It's just bad training, it's nothing to do with enforcing the law, it's simply revenge because they had the audacity to kick out at him. If he worked for me I'd have done all I could to see him prosecuted for assault.
