1	I'm about to be a poor person, aren't I? A few things - don't EVER mention the word lawyer to her. You don't want her to feel threatened and hire her own. Yes go with mediation but have a lawyer in the background as your advisor. A mediator will let you two discuss ANY arrangement you guys want. That's the point - not taking it to court for a judge to decide (which will benefit her more).
