True. Training to failure is much more taxing to CNS and you won't recover for the next training day. Also when you do the last rep of each set with worse form that'll effect your form over time. And then there's the placebo you get from doing all reps powerfully and leaving some to the tank vs. struggling trying to do one more.

It's better to leave 2 reps to the tank than do to failure. Going to failure on squat or bench is just enormous tax on the nervous system and you won't recover for next workout. On isolation exercises it doesn't matter.
