Actually, if you look at the ad campaign, you'll see that the women are not models. A couple are nowhere close to "lingerie model" types at all. They are all successful people in their careers. That, I think, makes this all the more baffling.

But it's an underwear ad, not about power. I was only pointing out that that these women are not just models who look pretty. These are real women, doing what they love in their professional life. Exactly! When I looked up the ad, I found the group pictures as well as individual pictures of the women and job description. It even has a "large and unattractive" (by normal modeling standards anyway) woman who founded a company and website. What's not to love?! P.S. Please don't misunderstand "large and unattractive". I meant that in a way that, hopefully, is taken as a shot to the modeling and marketing world than to her actual looks.

I realize I'm a bit late to the party, but something caught my eye. There is a card that says "women can create life in 9 months". Umm all by yourselves? Without sperm from a man there is no life. It takes two to tang, as they say. So you've got to have sperm and an egg. Whether it's done traditionally, i.e. sex, or artificially, women cannot just "create life in nine months". Yes, the female body houses, nurtures, and helps develop life, but it does not create it.

My wife has a cousin who lied about it. But she was just trying to cover her tracks because she had unprotected sex with her boyfriend. They even broke the window. But they did it from the inside. Never filed charges, just dropped everything before it got big. At least she didn't falsely accuse anyone. But it proved to me that people do lie about it.

It's the academic "echo chamber". A bunch of people sit around and think (normally a good thing). But what ends up happening is that even the dumb ideas must be "considered", and "expanded". People then gravitate to whomever they agree with. Problems get worked all the way through, blasting their way past a logical conclusion. Groupthink settles in, and anyone who disagrees says nothing because they're afraid of consequences. Hopefully I've made some sense.
