As with most things like this, it's more about the power than it is gender or sex.

It took me a long time to realize I had been assaulted. Previously I just played it off as being drunk.

This is one of the components to systemic racism. It's not just about the prejudice, it's about the power as well.

I think I caught a woman doing a double take on me yesterday. I'll think about that for a long time.

I think I caught a lady do a double take on me yesterday. Having lost 40lbs since new years, that was definitely a good feeling.

Taylor Swift will generally bring in more women, sports usually bring in more men. Venues should have the means to switch bathrooms over for other genders because the demographics of their patrons change.

Never heard about a father wanting to put their son in a dress for having a pierced ear? Living vicariously through their kids that are forced in to sports or "manly" activities? This isn't a man or woman issue.

Being honest with a cop got me out of a towed and impounded car. He even said I could drive the rest of the night, and if I got pulled over again to show the cop my ticket and to contact him. I paid that ticket asap.

That argument hinges on dealing with a cop that is reasonable. I doubt many like having their authority questioned.

Doesn't matter. I know it's anecdotal, but I know a guy that was stabbed (I don't remember where, I want to say back or shoulder) by his wife. Guess who the cops took.

They will raise women's rates to match men's. Don't be so naive.

Because women have some stupid belief where men can hold their pee longer because they can physically hold their pee stick.

If they say 1 in 5 victims are female, it means 1 in 5 victims are female. The prep can be male or female because we're only talking about victims. It also means that 4 in 5 victims are not female.

Just those that search his name on facebook, or employers that search him on google before giving an interview, or people in his community. People will always judge him, even when he brings his own kids to the park. That's if somebody is willing to date a "rapist" and have kids with him. But i guess they dont have to be willing to date him, he can just rape them instead. So you're right, not everyone. Just the ones that either dont need to remember him, or those close to him.

Its something you would have to decide for yourself. In my case i had declined her advances while sober numerous times, but one night she took advantage of my lowered inhibition. I chalked it up to making poor decisions while i was drinking, until i started to see what everybody else considered to be sexual assault and harassment. It doesnt affect me in my day to day life, but it certainly is a case that should have went on record.

After seeing what encompases sexual assault, i had learned that i too am a victim. I thought it was just a drunken mistake, but i guess reporting it would have made zero difference anyway.

AA members tend to believe they are still alcoholics, just recovering. Regardless, if we stopped listening to anybody for saying something we disagreed with, there's not many people left to listen to.

The first instance i have heard of #metoo, was when Theo Fleury was doing a book signing. A quiet and scared looking individual, quietly moving up the line to the front. Once infront of Fleury, he said, "me too." This happened in 2009. I'm not going to judge women for using it, because i believe sexual abuse against anybody is bad. My memory isnt perfect, but it was pretty close http://www.cbc.ca/1.3424852

Think twice? They are not held personally accountable for their actions. Worst case the department gets sued and the officers get a paid leave for a little bit.
