We'll find out. My understanding of uncontested divorces is that they mostly rubber stamp the agreement. My attorney said a lot of divorce settlements that get approved are not legally sound. So, the judge (at least here in Oregon) doesn't verify the legality of the agreement. Obviously, IANAL, so this is just what I've heard.

Yeah, been a wild ride for the past year. Two more years of co-parenting, then I don't have to see her. (Just pay her monthly)

I really appreciate your comment. You put a lot of details here for me.

Yeah, you are probably correct. I don't think she will confess, she believes she was entitled to abuse me. (She is a narcissist with no remorse)

I get your point. The money wasn't spent for that. It happened while we were "together". We were saving up to buy a property and she spent it on herself and her friends to take vacations. I tried to get her to stop, but she spent any money we had. That's why it seems like financial abuse. But I guess the court wouldn't care.

Point taken! Thanks for coming in with a real world example.

I think they do take domestic abuse seriously… but only in the case that the person makes less money than the other one. There are no real precedents for the opposite.

So far we’ve been trying to settle outside of court. It may seem weird that I am realizing my abuse now… but it takes awhile for the Stockholm syndrome to wear off and for some of the PTSD to dissipate.

Oregon is a no-fault state… so I don’t think that is an option anyway. Yeah, I think everything will be hard to prove. She was careful in her abuse when outside the home. She was abusive in front of family and friends, but no one will take a side. (She is a narcissist / sociopath so other people thing she is a “nice” person) The finance one is the only one I might be able to have hard evidence for. She blew $100k over 4 years.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
