Being gay is not the problem, never was. I agree with your point but that is just not true. America and many other countries ( apparently Singapore) at one time had legislation that was anti-gay. Look at sodomy laws. Look at the laws in the UK that led them to chemically castrating Alan Turing. Being gay was definitely criminalized and considered a problem in the past.

This 100%. Don't make absolute peanuts just to shift a gender imbalance in the field unless it's something you enjoy doing. It's a great semi-retirement gig in my opinion though. Once I early retire I can see going back to the field to work a couple hours a week. It's also heavily skewed toward women because the persisting myth that women are more empathetic than men. Completely untrue. I've seen men generally last longer than women in the field. It's draining work, and the people who want to sa…

What part of this was subtle? She previously said to him that no one would ask for a prenup unless they were thinking of divorce. He typed those words out himself and then never drew the connection that her asking for a prenup now with those same beliefs would imply she's gearing up for a divorce. Is it salvageable he asks? He gave himself all the answers he needed but he's not willing to connect the dots.

Yes, teach critical thinking and research skills. Have them actually learn research as if it's a trade skill. Make sure they learn to identify the counter arguments, honestly think through the arguments, and refute them. If you can't refute you need to tear it down, possibly revise your argument, and do it again. Teach them basic time management skills so they don't try and slam it all out at the last minute if they need to revise their claims.

Makes sense in the essential vs non essential break down of work. Who knew it was mostly women that had cushy useless positions that would be the first to be eliminated in hard times? Oh yeah, we did. Who needs a social media diversity consultant when you tighten up the budget?

That's assuming it's even true. But people are unpredictable and do crazy things to try to get crazy results or at least in how they rationalize it to themselves.

This story is so strange I would agree mental illness is on the table. The removal of the ring makes me think its less a lapse of memory or mental illness though, that's some covert, rationalized decision making. In the thread a lot of people were going with memory lapses from early dementia or a gas leak/ hit to the head. Early Dementia is like 50s not 30s, not that's not possible, but early dementia is already uncommon at 50, at 33 it's possible but very very unlikely. Again as far as brain da…

It's true that it's more of a scientific term and I'd assume your language has some sort of equivalent. You'd call a cat a girl cat sure, but formally it's a female cat. It has previously had nothing to do with political correctness but currently seems to be making ground. Our language doesn't have a concept of gendered words inherently like other languages have built in so it probably came into use to be more distinct in that regard. Now with transgender and preferred pronouns making establishe…

It's like how reddit is all about SCIENCE! But fucking hates biologic and evolutionary science because it can offer real counters to their ideologies. I'm sure it has nothing to do with continuing to push gender vs biologic sex.

There was a beautiful moment right at the beginning where people were like wow you really aren't hearing about these nonsense SJW issues when things are hard. A couple weeks later the Diversity Team had it's own segment in our company's daily covid update. These people now have all fucking day to just sit on their couch and think up problems.

You hit the nail on the head that this is NPC programming right now. I've seen it ALL over reddit in the past few months and it is directly in response to trends in the manosphere. It's the dumbest controversy ever, but make no mistake it's a buzz word that people are going to be looking out for. As always, do as you wish, but if anyone's going grey man, I advise DON'T refer to woman as females in real life if you don't want people calling you an incel behind your back.

This is very true. But I don't buy into the men are baseless creatures who only think with their dick. I know a lot of these guys were thinking with their head and their heart too. "Oh that won't be me, I'm a good person. I'm not an abusive asshole so I don't have to worry." Well the majority of those guys weren't either. And statistically you're going to be in the exact same boat.

The story is obviously made up. But if it were true it's bleaker than the blowjob away from the plantation idea. He pined for some young asian hottie who was probably just trying to see if he was rich enough to buy her entire family a house, got ABSOLUTELY nothing, and apparently it was a soul altering enough of an experience to change his 15 year + habits? And he only recently discovered the overlap of MGTOW and TRP? Fake, fake, fake. Or the weakest willed simp moron of all time.

Seriously did anyone think the pussy market could get any more bloated and over-leveraged from where we were? Enter covid-19 and onlyfans, holy shit is this going to blow up. Thousands of young women exiting the dating marketplace leaving another thousand young men to beat their puds and buy their content instead. Sexually stunting both of them in the process and emotionally crippling them at the end. Pussy was undervalued and oversold before, the markets about to bottom out.

The source someone linked was in relation to spatial ability. The point being men's spatial ability is better so of course it's easy for you to picture and think it's a trick. The line can be drawn exactly the same as the other line and it would represent the way the water tilts with the bottle. Although the source doesn't say how the 40% fail the test, I'd assume they'd draw the line in the same position on the bottle so the line would appear at an angle to the original line. I don't know how you ended up here, but this seems bizarrely honest. In 8 years you've never discussed kids? If you have and decided no. Then it's probably still no for him. If it was no, but maybe, it's probably still a no. I was like your guy before. It's probably still a probably but there's more too it. I think men have a financial clock to meet for children and life goals akin to a woman's biological clock. It's sad when they can't sync up.

What about the non-western world? For this belief to be plausible we would assume early men looked around and realized women were fucking each other all over the place. In an act of jealousy these early men found a way to "socially construct" opinions of every single woman who existed then and since. This unwritten plan was then in enforcement for thousands of years with no mentions in historical documents and adapted for every single shift in culture, technology, and world politics. Then on top…

This is the core of what makes clown world, clown world. They literally don't even see the irony. Instead of hearing "fuck white people" as being an opportunity to live up to their ideal of human decency and equality, they completely let it slide (assuming they aren't the perpetrators). It already included all that holy shit. Most men don't bully or harass anyone. But we live in a time where people can cite statistics about gender and violence and it's addressing the "problem" but statistics derived in the same way about race and violence is a hate crime. Someone posted a video here a while back with a youtube pastor that made a metaphor I'll never forget. Safety nets encourage people to do something incredibly risky that they wouldn't do without one. It actually increases the likelihood someone will do something that puts them in the circumstances they would need the safety net. Rather than just living a prudent and risk-averse life in order to avoid misfortune.

What cherry picking would be going on with this story? This is a very recent story that highlights how their exact same insane logic can lead to a mentally damaged person acting on it to murderous outcomes. The cult that is pushing this all men are potential rapists nonsense just killed three kids and they are fine with it. God we really are in the end days.

Absolutely. But he started at a totally different level of work to outcomes. He could buy properties right off the bat and flip them for massive income. He never had to wage grind out the capital just to make that first property investment. Which is arguably a much different experience.

No doubt, he's doing great but won't take that final pill. You'd think she'd be a landwhale, but he mentions that they are both fit. Also in the last year there was a completely dead bedroom, which presumably means before that there was something even though she was too depressed to move most of the time. Unfortunately the field of psychiatry and psychology has come out against men. Read the guidelines for Toxic Masculinity that was added to the DSM-V. I think this is one of the craziest things to happen in the last year. Men are constantly criticized for not wanting to seek help. Just look at when a man kills himself. No sympathy, just blame for them not seeking help. Then they went and doubled down and said there is something inherently wrong with men. Unfortunately in this morally bankrupt wor…

Couple of other bizarre factors. The Aurora Theater shooting years back took place during a midnight premier of The Dark Knight Rises. Lots of people here are understandably touchy about cheating. It's ultimately a moral debate and renouncing the ills of the world is an excellent way to live a pure life. But we live in a world that's burning to the ground. I have no interest in being a moral person when the flames are consuming us all. I'm out here to give back to the world what I got and hasten the collapse, personally. I think you are giving the world a net positive in that regards.

This might have been really strange PR. The refrain around here that tv and movies are a shit show these days is baffling to me. Shows on the streaming sites are horrendously politically motivated and hard to watch. I already addressed the luck (or wealth) of your city being the exception not the rule. I was definitely thinking about economic decisions when it came to college and accruing debt at that age but still was completely unprepared and had no knowledge of longer term value decisions. I came out largely unscathed from a debt perspective though and I'm not bitter about going to college. But when an entire generation almost unanimously feels swindled by parents/guidance counselors/societal expectations of a degree it's scary and hard to ignore. The fact that so many people have almost th…

In the show they might cover that. The book does not. It is why some women are handmaids and some aren't. Because the women who aren't handmaiden's can't get pregnant.

I think he's a pretty good dude who was pretty smart. The worst moves he did was what you mentioned and asked about asking the ex for custody after he showed up. But that also led to the crucial part of asking the ex directly and getting the selling the kids bit. Also the moment he told his lawyer he wanted to stay married and raise the boys. Good thing the lawyer set him straight.

Alcohol-induced dementia is a big thing. I might not understand this fully. They are finding that the plaques that build up in your brain that cause dementia are being wiped clean when you sleep. So a function of sleep is to run some sort of cycle on your brain to help cleanse or delay these plaque buildups. Drinking alcohol all the time super fucks with your sleep and you never get restful sleep and you wake up all the time even if you don't realize it. You are really playing with fire with alco…

I really liked the Handmaid's Tale. Margaret Atwood is my favorite "feminist" actually. Other proclaimed feminists I know absolutely hate her. I was very much headed down the marriage path and for a while had surface level problems with the upfront cost of marriage being crazy with little alarm bells going off in my head about all the stuff here. Anyway I had about $4k set aside for a ring, $6k for part of the wedding, $3k for honeymoon, and another $5k+ for a house downpayment. I was stressing about how much money would just be gone at once and she broke up with me saying I was weird with money. But now it's my discretionary spending …

The descriptions of women in Brave New World are usually just "pneumatic." Which just meant she was good at fucking.

Apparently it takes an average of 7 times from someone in an abusive relationship to leave their abuser. So I assume people refer to multiple attempts to build victim cred

so in 2016 I was a left leaning voter for a decade. Me and the ex went to a Trump rally just to see history, see what the deal was, laugh at the absurdity. People in line were curious why we were there despite leaning the other way but after initial political discussion we just talked about other stuff and joked about stuff going on around us. All these people were friendly, cordial, and all around decent people. At one point after waiting 3 hours, a smallish group of older 50-60s men and women …

that sucks so fucking bad, sorry dude. people always talking about a looming student debt bubble. There has to be a divorce rape debt bubble out there. Or is that only men carry that burden so it's negligible?

I really don't think men are the target audience. I think women are and they are trying to push their products for women instead through this. I'm sure they crunched the numbers, saw they were making more money from women and decided to throw their hat in the ring and drum up controversy for free publicity. Women's razors have a higher profit margin and now women can buy them thinking there is a philosophy they are supporting through their wallets like they are buying a starbucks because it's fa…

I think they are just doubling down on selling razors to women. So women when they are looking at gillette or shitty grocery brands they'll want to give their money to the woke feminist company to support the cause. So really Gillette is cashing in on feminism which you think would trouble women, but no. I mean does anyone here even use gillette? I haven't bought shitty disposable razor cartridges at crazy markups in at least 5 years.

There is an anxiety about manhood and what he is expected to do going on in someway in the movie. Remember he meets Maude and she tells him men are afraid to even say vagina because she makes vagina art. Then she drugs him or whatever and he has this idealized dream floating through legs and acting out sex with Maude in a valkyrie suit. Maude keeps trying to get him to go to the doctor's to get his sperm checked out in the guise of looking at his concussion from her thugs. Then they fuck because…

I've had two former female friends brag about their Seeking Arrangements relationships on Facebook in the last two months. Anytime I see something in here that I think can't possibly be that bad I see real tangible shit in my own life everywhere. It's really that bad out there, holy fuck

I've heard stars used to represent when a house was fully paid off and it had something to do with mortgage collectors coming around for payments and to know not to go to that house. But has since just become a decoration people like.
