What makes you think it's "someone out there", and not just a regular sedditor defending seddit in other subreddits?

Rock climber here. Started out in the gym, I'm an alpine instructor now. Great stories to tell, lots of DHV. Climbing in the gym is a great place to meet new people, meet people who know people, and of course, the ladies are fit.

Dating sites are a weird playground. Do not compare the way women act there in any way with the way they would act in reality.

So, regular lurker here, occasional poster. This isn't a subreddit for guys who never cold approach but want a tip to help escalate with Suzie in Geometry who might like them. Oh man, that just sounds arrogant. It's okay to think that I guess, but it'd be a major turnoff if anyone told me that they thought of themselves that way. It's about putting yourself in a certain state of mind. I'm usually going from "what do I have to offer?" to "I have the world to offer!" back and forth. I guess it depends on the type of person you give this advice for, but, for nice guys, it can't hurt to tell them to think they're god's gift to the world.

Asking her out doesn't come off as creepy. If it does, she can say no and you lost nothing. Ask her out to grab a bagel and see whether you hit it off.
