2	Woman attacks man trying to get past protestors to get to work The "oi" being pronounced "wa" is correct, but technically the 'r' is pronounced in French. 2	Woman attacks man trying to get past protestors to get to work It takes hours for adult anglophones to learn to pronounce that sound, and working it smoothly into words is a whole other matter. Hence the reason that most anglicized French words drop it.
