Quite possibly. I don't want to have sex with the women that would have casual sex with me. I'm OK with that. I'm not currently willing to put forth the effort necessary to have a relationship with a woman I do want to have sex with. I'm OK with that also. I believe your original statement is correct in my case. I don't think I learned anything though.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 12:32 AM

Well go do that stuff then. Nobody is stopping you. There are some women who are in to that sort of thing.

Had they said "Replica A-Team Van", I woulda got it. I don't think I would enjoy driving a Ferrari. Fast cars just don't do it for me. I'll go back to scrolling chubby goth chicks now.

If they're doing that for a sex transaction, no sympathy. Nobody is making them do that. I'm 42 though. You don't do that blindly at my age. There are women that I find attractive that would date me. I'm not dating them because I do not want to take on that set of challenges for any of the ones that currently would date me. You're not a slave to pussy.

Maybe we'll evolve into those fish where the male is tiny and just attaches to a female just to provide semen.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/25 08:07 PM

That's a fair statement. I don't break it down as seeing the person as a commodity. I see it more like hiring someone to do something the person can't do for themselves. Like hiring a mover or a plumber. They're all selling their bodies. I have also never been in a position where I ever considered hiring a prostitute though. At 41, I've also never hired a plumber or mover either. I'd honestly just rather jerk off than whatever mess is involved with hiring someone. I think people forget that it's…

Religion has always been used for control. This is not a complete incel sub, but it can lean that way. IDGAF what any of you do. I've dated two women who drank too much and that's a never again. You will never be more important to someone than their Religion or their chemicals.

Yes, a bunch of times. I was asked if I was gay several times. I was once told that she would say I tried to rape her. I was told men don't say no to sex. Most of the times though, nothing weird happened and if it was a girl I was potentially interested in dating, they took it as rejection and were no longer interested in me.

I definitely do not want them passed on. What makes any of you think that you're so great? I don't believe this line needs to keep going.

Except for two of them for sure. Anyone else, I'd answer the messages. Two of them I wish I'd never met and would politely and effectively exit the situation if I encountered them.

It all depends on what "Passport Bros" means to you. A guy going to find a wife and have a relatively normal monogamous life and such isn't really anything too many people would take issue with. I assumed we were talking about guys going to Thailand, going to brothels, and selecting a woman to have sex with at $30 a pop. I knew a guy who did that for about a month. Not specifically for that. Went scuba diving, toured on a rented scooter, saw the country, bought 15 hookers. That's more what I tho…

Well yes its better and ideal. That is if both parents are functional though. If one or both parents are not functional or completely mental, then anything else is better for the kids. No kid out there doesn't want two functional parents. Unfortunately very bad parents still have children and sometimes think they're very good parents.

All people are different. Some share similarities. I knew a guy who would rather be married with a wife and kids. I wouldn't. That didn't happen for him. Probably his own fault. He went to Thailand and fucked hookers. I wouldn't do that. He would. We're different people. I don't think he would care much if his wife was attracted to him if she had sex with him. I would think everyone would have to prefer it. I have dated women who were very attracted to me. It's way better.

What are you doing to yourself man? Where did all this come from? I feel like somewhere you got a bad set of instructions on how life works and are just hammering through it trying to smash the puzzle pieces in place. If you did smash a piece in place, and find a woman to be in a relationship with, would you even love her or is she just your preconceived idea of the role a woman should be. If the gender was flipped, I would see red flags everywhere, think you were chronically depressed, and not …

I don't think you worded your statements very well for a debate of anything. You just stated things that you believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 04:29 AM

My buddy went on a drunk rant about that at his superbowl party. Something about all these women want is money. I said "Why is it that money is the only thing you have to offer a woman." It was a mic drop. One of his female coworkers high five me. He went and ordered a hooker later that night. He's back towards reality now. Everything is good. Pretty sure he's still smashing bar trash.

Right. So be honest and don't get laid that much. You will see a few of the women that turn it down, go for some dude that will spin some bullshit, and then be single again after he cheats or leaves. You will think "I could have done that and got laid for a few months", but you didn't. You get to make the right decisions and know that you never took advantage of a drunk girl, or lied or manipulated to get laid. You could always find a fwb who's down, fall in love with her and then get heartbroke…

Honesty is the best, and most moral way to go about it. Being a piece of shit will get you a lot more sex though. I've slept with 19 women in 20yrs. My former best friend was over 1000 by our late 20's. He has almost nothing for morals when getting laid is possible. You can guess why we're not friends anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/24 07:43 AM

Yeah nothing wrong with trying to understand shit. This thread really let's you know how closed minded people are here. There is a commonly referenced video where a porn star attempts to explain how to make a woman orgasm, and here is a debate thread regarding it.

I think I understand where you're going here. It makes sense to understand women and what gets them off, what it feels like to them, the psychology behind it and all that, all in order to try to have a happy healthy relationship. You're not going to learn that through your asshole. Men have a prostate and women don't. It's often mostly clitoral stimulation. Learn how to go down on a woman. Most of them like it. There are those that don't. Not all women are the same to begin with, and like differ…

Ideally, the planet should only have about 30 million people at most. 2000yrs ago there were 190 million. 100yrs ago there were 2 billion. That has quadrupled to 8 billion in 100yrs. The reality is that probably nobody reading this should be having children. Probably nobody reading this should have been born. Say the ideal human population is 2 million. We have 8 billion. Not living with your parents is always better for dating. Women can want me to be 6' and making 100K, but I'm not. They can date someone who is if they can. It isn't weird to be under 6' or make less than 100K. I think your question was answered at 25. Ideally someone would be out by then, but it doesn't always happen.

I have dated both of those. On medication was definitely better, but the medication did not solve the problems. Those problems were still there and ended the relationship. On meds is better than Off meds Deunk and high off meds is worse than those, but not needing medication is always going to be the best option. I'm just not on the level where I can click with that level of functional, so someone on meds is an option for me. The drunk or off meds is decidedly not.

"Did you know that 25% of US women are on some kind of psychiatric medication? That's terrifying. That means 3 out of 4 women are just running around out there completely unmedicated!" Being on psych meds is a red flag. Something went wrong. Not being on psychiatric meds when you should be is a red flag x10.

You're wrong about the last part. Poor people with a lack of access to family planning and education are always going to keep breeding. Go to any trailer park or housing project anywhere. They have nothing to lose. The survival rate isn't going to be as high, but they'll keep having them.

Then what accounts for the women who date broke ass dudes that offer nothing? I think it's just a lack of middle ground. You could say that men who are willing to do more than 50% are just simping or just in it to get laid and breed and the reason women are like this is because men made them this way. You could say all kinds of things.

I think you're right. TBH, in the US, we need a public education system that has people career ready at 18 if they need to be. I don't buy that they're not physically mature enough to be an adult at 18. We just don't teach these kids reality.

You could maybe make it illegal to sell. Not every country is going to make it illegal to produce. Can't think of a time that I've bought porn anyways.

So people are getting their doors kicked in and being incarcerated for downloading porn on utorrent in this scenario? Sketchy dudes at gas stations selling flash drives of unregulated basement sex tapes of women who might be trap house meth hoes? I think a regulated industry is far better than an unregulated one and feeding the private prison system.

I mean, that's gross, but how do those stats of college age men being willing to fuck grandma's have anything to do with my (40m) chances of finding a healthy monogamous relationship? The fact that any woman that I'm willing to date can find an NSA hookup if she wants? That's always been the case. If I'm not worth not banging random dudes, then I don't want it anyways.

I suggest you don't get married. I think any guy who attempted to marry you, would have no room for error. It also sounds like you don't really want one. I say stay single. I also don't want to get married though.

Well yeah. They died in battle, were prisoners of war, were enslaved or just died of natural selection. If your argument is that men who arn't reproducing are surviving to adulthood, then yes. Even with that, the men who could had a lot of children and most of them died. Regardless of the reasons, it has always been that women are more likely to reproduce than men.

I have had two pretty bad relationships in my life. I am much happier single than in either of those relationships. Not as happy as I was in other relationships, but I'm decent looking, with a house, a job and a car. If I wanted to go on a date this weekend I could. Probably going to regrout my shower.

I just did mine at 39m 5'9". I've been 152lbs and I looked thin. 175 when I was working out was my best weight. Edit: just did it for 27f 4'11" which was the last girl I dated. She would have looked good at 123lb, but 91lb would not have been attractive to me for her body type.

You can want whatever you want. Is it hypocrisy? Yes. Can you be a hypocrite if you want to be? Sure. Will anyone feel bad for you? No. If you shame your partner for not being a virgin when you're also not a virgin, then you're an asshole.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/23 02:11 AM

Very true, and I check most or all of those boxes. You have to be introspective about yourself though. Sounds like you date a lot. If that works for you, cool. If it works for the people you date, cool. A lot of people would see that as less than functional or possibly emotionally detached. Do you have your own theories on why you are the way that you are?

I think it doesn't hurt it as much as a man, if you want to date single moms. There are more of them. Share the parenting. Already raising one kid, might as well raise two kids with help.

Sure. I'm well out of my prime though at 39, and didn't even want to date a 27yo recently, because we just had nothing in common. I'd have been all about that girl when I was 27 though.

Guys who have the ability to get a lot of partners are going to pick and choose what they want. Same with women. If your guy has a high count, can easily replace you, and judges you for his own double standard, why are you even fucking with that guy? There are tons of guys out there. If you want a guy like that, then go for it. Everyone else wanted to fuck him too, and he was down. If that guy is what you want, I guess that's what you get.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 07:11 PM

Well yeah. If it hasn't happened because you're more concerned with looks, stay the course and look for mutual physical attraction. If you're more concerned with getting a girlfriend that you love, than look for that. Have female friends. Treat them all nicely. Politely friend zone any that you're definitely not interested in and see who you connect with.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/23 06:03 PM

Well there you go then. If initial physical attraction is what you require, and understand, then you're going to have to find someone who is initially physically attracted to you.

If you'd ever fallen in love with a woman that you were not initially attracted to, but had an awesome personality and solid self esteem, then you would know how that works.

I know what you meant. Its just a pet peeve of mine. "The original (and current) meaning of invaluable is "valuable beyond estimation"; the word describes something so precious that one cannot assign a price to it. This, clearly, is the opposite of the meaning "having no value; valueless" that the word might seem to carry." I know, and I promise I don't do this on dates, people.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/23 02:23 AM

All those women are relatively young and pretty. Any of them are varying degrees of attractive at this point. Their weight is only one factor. They all pass. I was completely in live with a woman who was 5'1" 165lbs probably. She was thick. I liked her. Many other women at their weight would be less likely to be attractive.

Not off the table at all. I'm 39m who nevet wanted his own kids or met the kids of anyone I've dated. I dated a woman with a 3yo boy for over a month earlier this year. It wasn't going to work out for various reasons, and ended. Went no contact because I was more attached than the situation called for. For scheduling reasons, and because he was only 3, I was around the kid a lot and it was really cool being a minor adult figure in his life for a minute. Kinda miss that kid and hope he's doing we…

It would be of little relevance because it would have more to do with how I felt about the woman. I would go for the one who had a long term relationship with a lot of sex, because I would like a long term relationship with a lot of sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 01:25 AM

You misunderstood. I've dated two women in the last 2.5yrs. One for 3 weeks, one for five. One was only down for casual and bounced because I liked her. I was the rebound. The other was a friend of friend who had a kid, so we didn't even sleep together because it was kind of an all or nothing just see if it works out. I'm still cool with both of them but we don't hang out. In the past, I would have gone all in on either and it would have taken up to 2yrs for my house of cards to cone crashing do…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 09:55 PM

Well that's possible. Probably even necessary. We were breeding exponentially. Everyone was becoming parents. Even the fully unqualified. My quality of life is just better without a woman in it. I spend money on me. Not trying to make a woman happy, that's too screwed up from previous relationships or her own mistakes to ever be happy with me. Life can be a lot happier with a women you love, but it can also be miserable. At 39, I'd just rather be boring, go on vacation 3x/yr and fund my retireme…

It sounds easier until you make friends with gay men. They invent problems, get in feuds, cat fights, crush on straight guys, complain all the time and don't want to listen to each other. I think it's just the general mental health and social skills of the men and not if they're gay or straight. Maybe that's being friends with them as a straight man though.

Wtf is dating age? I'll tell you how it is after that age then maybe. I'm 39m single. One of my best friends is 36 or 38f. Married. Decently attractive. Knew her before she was dating her husband. 10yrs probably. I was an usher at their wedding. Occasionally people think it's weird that we're friends and he's so cool with it. I don't think that's as much of an issue. Dont know her circumstances. It's if he dies in 10yrs. His estate, if he has any, might not go far or any to her. Hopefully he's contributing the 6.5K annual max to her roth IRA so she's got something.

If the man does all the earning, and funds a comfortable lifestyle for a woman who wants to raise children and not work outside the home, that probably works for a lot of women. That may not be commonly what they get, and I don't want that relationship, but there are those that want it.

I came from a very isolated, cultish, somewhat misogynist environment and had very poor social skills. I don't think anyone really knows how to have a functional adult relationship right out of the gate unless they've been around them. I had to get out of my comfort zone a lot. Learn how to have a good time. Not have to control everything. Not be afraid of what I don't know. Stop being possessive, and just build a good relationship where I'm not sacrificing myself for some future goal that might…

Different strokes for different folks. Some of them probably think they'll be more likely to be judged, some prefer inexperienced guys. The quote I hear is " I want a boyfriend, I just don't want to train one". Relationships are a learned skill in my opinion. I didn't know what I was doing in my 20's. I owe a lot to the women who dated me then.

This is written like a 16yo boy. The only difference between "encouraged" and "forced" is the strenght of the will of the woman saying no. This is not a new idea. Eventually there will be male birth control, but not yet.

I completely agree. This is why I am single. Life is more fun with a girlfriend, but it's also more difficult. Also I don't want kids, and am good with dying alone. I think creating people so that you don't have to die alone is selfish.

His argument is that if too many men treat women decently, there won't be any left who will let him use them. This guy wants to be a chad, but doesn't have the skill set.

I've definitely known guys like that. I think a lot of their issues are because they don't have female friends, so they don't have much of an understanding of how to be around women.

I would never refer to someone as "recreational use". That's just saying you're using a person. As far as would it change my opinion if she didn't want to hook up immediately? No. I would date her if I wanted to date her, and not date her if I didn't want to.

I'm the opposite there. Yes to all except #8. I think it's the catty expression or the blonde highlights. Just not my style at all. That just comes down to personal preference though.

And life with a bad gf is the worst. This is the thing. I have been down those roads. I'm not in a desperation mindset. Any woman is going to have to be an upgrade from what I have going. I'd rather pay my house off in a couple years than get laid for a couple years and maybe be miserable. If it was my priority, I could have a decent looking girlfriend. It's just not the highest priority at the moment and I know that.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/23 02:32 AM

lol, maybe a few. It's more that they are hella damaged from previous relationships and their own bad life choices. Life with a girlfriend can be a lot more fun. Life without one is just a lot easier.

It's a more difficult second job that isn't worth it in that case. It's still going to be work though and when both people are into each other it's something you'll like doing. Just my opinion. My ex did a lot of work planning and organizing my social life. I did a lot to help her with all kinds of dude related things. It was great. We balanced each other well. Other than the paranoid mental breakdowns every 2 to 6 weeks that would last hours or days, it was a great relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:55 PM

lol. Some chick said something like. If I tell guys what I'm looking for, they're just going to pretend to be that until we're in a relationship and then I find out what they are. I'd rather they just be themselves and I find one I like.

There are women who would date me. I just don't want to date them. Same the other way. Do you understand how relationships work, and the level of work involved? It's a second job, so you better enjoy it and like your coworker. If you use dating apps and the effort you put in is wasted if you don't get the outcome you want, than it's going to go bad. Enjoy the process and get better at it.

For real. I'm 39. If a women I date hasn't been having sex, it's because she doesn't like to. Also, I didn't know her back then, so the past is take it or leave it. If she's attractive and wants to have sex with me, I'm going to weigh the pros and cons.

I was unaware how difficult it was for women until a female friend showed me. She was a decent blond who drank a bit much. She would download tinder on Monday and swipe. Get blown up with messages. Sift through bullshit and talk to guys Tuesday and Wednesday. She would delete the app on Thursday and text with 4 or 5 guys. Schedule a date for Friday night and one for Saturday night. Either something bad would come up in conversation or a guy would flake and she would usually get one, but sometime…

It's a numbers game I'm told. Women will talk about dumb shit they did when they had no standards, went through a breakup or just wanted to get laid. That's the one they're looking for. If you marry a woman who doesn't want kids, but you want kids, it doesn't make you alpha or beta, disrespected or not. It just makes you an idiot. Someones decision on wanting kids or not has nothing to do with their respect for their partner. Its a personal choice.

I think that a lot of the men here are probably resentful that they have been unsuccessful, therefore having a low count. They want someone with a similarly low count. Not enough prostitutes. Everyone would just have herpes. Condoms break. Also, most men do not want to have sex with prostitutes. Part of having a relationship is figuring out if you are compatible with that person for long term. You don't just fuck random prostitutes and then buy a wife at the store if you decide you want one.

If I'm doing all the prep work, like having a functional life, staying in shape, self care, hygiene, doing well at work, maintaining friendships, and am in a good mood, happy, and less concerned with any specific woman, I do far better at dating. This is the first time in history that men have to actually get a woman to like them, and she can leave him if it doesn't stay that way. The rules have changed. There is less incentive for a man to get married. You're going to have to work, do house work, raise your kids, and keep your woman happy. If you don't want that, don't have a family or get married. Nah. Relationships are a lot of work. I know several women who would date me. The relationship has to be beneficial and worth it to both parties for it to be worth having. Plenty of desirable people are single because they haven't found an ideal match that is worth it. 10 is the person you've found most attractive ever in life. There is only one. Everyone else is 9.99 at best. 5 is whatever is average in your age group and geographic area. For me, that is sexually attractive enough to have a relationship with if I like them. 0 is the least attractive person you've ever seen. I see the rating system as a pass/fail thing. I think the difference in our opinions is that I don't think makeup improves a womans appearance. If it flawlessly made them look better without anyone knowing they wore makeup, then men could do it to. Society is not what stops me from wearing makeup. I don't want to. I don't want the women I date to wear it either, but if they like it, that's their choice. Doesn't ever make them look better, just looks like they have makeup on. Go ahead and wear makeup. Nobody is stopping you.

Some people are taller and some people are shorter. I have no interest in women who won't date me because of my height. If I was tall, I would still have no interest in women who only dated me for my height, but I wouldn't be able to tell. 14.5% of US males are 6' or over. I'm sorry that you're not in the top 14.5% so you can date shallow women who don't actually like you. Also, makeup isn't fooling anyone. I prefer not to date women who are into that.

Most of these guys are simply angry they don't get sex without doing work to improve themselves, gain empathy or improve social skills. People either make your life better or worse. Some make it worse, leave them with further trauma, and don't go away. That's what they're afraid of. It's a risk vs. reward scenario. Most of the gu…

Well, I was raised a bit different. I wasn't allowed to have my girlfriend over with the door closed when I was 20, and was told she had to sleep on the couch if she stayed over. She lived an hour and a half away. There was a lot of religious judgment of women's virtue or whatever. All four of us are 30 to 40 with no kids, and it is unlikely anyone intends to habe any. I would say it worked very well.

The only way for a man to be sure to not have a child is to not have sexual intercourse with a woman. That is just how it is. I have turned down plenty of sex because of the risk of having a child. More sex than I've had honestly. If a child is a results, you are responsible for half of the cost of the child, as you should be. Unfortunately you can not have an abortion on yourself to terminate the pregnancy. I suggest you remain celibate, have a vasectomy, or only have sex with men. Having sex w…

I can say no for a fact. I've been in that exact situation with at least three different girls and it was a no every time. In all three situations, a girl threw it at me while inebriated on the way to her or my place. Was obviously too drunk, and probably wouldn't even know if anything happened. I agree with that. I could afford a stay at home wife if she took care of things and wasn't expensive. I could do that on 65K/yr where I live. I'd rather date a career woman that is ambitious. That's just what I prefer. I don't want someone to be dependent on me. I would rather they were with me by choice, and had the resources to leave if they wanted to. Having someone stay with me, just because I was providing for them, would suck.

They are all dopamine addictions. Overeaters Anonymous uses the same book that AA does. All you have to do to quit drinking, is stop drinking alcohol, which you don't need to survive. Said that way, it sounds simple. Managing eating disorders is not more or less difficult than managing other addictions, and is approached similarly.

Overeating is an addiction just as drinking, smoking and drug use are. Its one that is very visible and takes time to get healthy again. If the person is not making good choices with diet and exercise, it is often because they are otherwise unhappy and in my opinion is a symptom more than something that just happens. If the problem can not be addressed, then it is a deal breaker, same as if it was alcohol, cigarettes or drugs.

If you decide to enter into an exclusive relationship with someone, and they are honest about their history, than you don't get to be upset about it after that, because you are accepting the deal. You have the option of saying no to a relationship. If you don't want to have a relationship with a woman who has slept around, then don't. There is nothing wrong with that choice. Understand that raising children is a shitload of work. Treat his partner as an equal. Clean the bathroom and kitchen half the time. Forget about a stay at home wife unless he has the income to back it up. I know a ton of dudes that think they are not tall enough or attractive enough and completely ignore the reasons they are taking themselves out of…

That's totally fine. I didn't make the rules. I'm only talking about the place that i work for, and the regulations that apply to me. They do have to do a sleep study first, but as far as I know, they all end up wearing the machine.

Weight is one of 3 things you have to fail on to have to wear a cpap to keep your job. Weight, neck over 17", and I can't remember the 3rd, but i want to say blood pressure.

Its a dopamine addiction like everything else. Some people try not to drink too much, some people try not to overdose on heroin.

We have to take a Department of Transportation physical exam every two years. The fat loads have to use cpap machines if they fail certain things. Everyone tries to not be that fat. I like going to the gym on my lunch break though. It's pretty convenient.

mostly garbage. You can use food stamps to buy soft drinks and junk food. I work for a government agency that is so fat, the health insurance company made them put a free gym in the building to keep costs down. nobody uses it.

I believe that's true. I'm a mechanic. I've worked with two guys who were happily married with a wife that was a SAHM until the children were grown. Both were in their late 50's/early 60's and close to retirement. Their wives were rather frugal, and took care of all the house work other than repair and maintenance, etc. That arrangement is just something that isn't done anymore.

Every species of plant and animal is obsessed with sex, otherwise they would no longer exist.

Right on. Hope that works out. There are some good ones out there. I definetly work with some guys who lost badly in divorces. One guy was getting ready to retire, but his wife left him for a 40yr old dude, he had to mortgage his house to give her half the value, and now he probably won't ever retire. The guy who had it figured out was happily married, and set to retire with his wife the same time, but she died of cancer that year, and he didn't retire because he didn't have anyone to retire wit…

eh, maybe. Half my friends are female, so i can see both sides of it. I was mainly just dating women from bars, which is not a good idea. Not going to date anyone who isn't self sufficient, and not going to make an effort to find one at the moment, so maybe that is what it is.

This is correct. I do not have a very strong understanding of what TRP is. I have a buddy who is into it. Hes said enough to know he shouldn't be dating right now. Most of what I see is cherry picked from by people who are very biased I'm sure. Ill go ahead and follow it also to get a better understanding of what it is. Haven't looked there in a while. I'm not young, at 37, but I've made the tries I'm going to make right now. I'm not pursuing my goals in order to attract women, though it likely …

I lurk FDS to recognize what i don't want and learn how to avoid it. I have browsed some TRP just to understand how bad it can go wrong, and make sure I don't act like any of those guys. Haven't been on a date in a year, and life is pretty dope just stacking cash and pursuing my interests.

I have the opposite experience. I would date women who needed financial/emotional support at the time, then once they were in a better place, drop me for the guy who wasn't drained by all of their problems. I would rather be an unnecessary accessory now. Not looking to build a relationship anymore. I work on making myself happy and secure. when i meet women who are happy and already have their shit together, i talk to them.

I understand that I am a different case. I avoid dating women who wear makeup daily, fake eyelashes, etc. Its not because of the cost. I was homeschooled in a rural area of coastal Virginia (new age hippies). I was largely unaware that women wore any sort of makeup or shaved anything until i moved to a different area. I'm not passionately against it. Its just something that gets in the way of practical life occasionally and doesn'tdo anything for me. I dated a girl, that i am still friends with,…

The average US marriage lasts 8 years last I checked. Marriage is archaic, and no longer needed by either party. I do not need a wife to bear 10 children to work the potato fields less I lose my land and starve in the winter. A woman does not need me to work the fields and hunt and provide less she starve. It is no longer a matter of survival by either party. It is also the first step to divorce. Nothing says love like a legally binding contract.

You don't think clearer after getting off. Actually the opposite. You just think with the sex drive temporarily removed. Its like a minor addiction. If you don't smoke often, and you smoke a cigarette, the desire for a cigarette is temporarily gone, and you just stink of tobacco until you want another cigarette. If you love and care about the person, then you develop an oxytocin addiction imprinted on them, and still want to be around them and cuddle and such. If a guy has a crush on you, hes st…

I'm not really trying to date and wonder if being subscribed to this, FDS, and AreTheStraightsOK is part of the reason I'm not. The intention was just to learn about dating culture to be better at it, but i think its more helpful in running from it.

Guys who are insecure as hell probably do want that. It would create dependence and they would not have to compete. I don't think I would be attracted to women who would go for that, so I'm safe there.

Probably not under 30. I dated a girl who was 25, about 4 years ago and we just didn't have any common life experience. She dated guys older than her, but i guess it just didn't work as well with me. I think there is some sort of change with women after their 30th birthday. I guess that is a big milestone or something for them. Getting older has a lot more to do with how well people take care of themselves than anything. A friend of mine only dates women older than him because he says they know …

You definetly hit on something there. I am in the do not want kids category so that makes it harder. I'm a public transit mechanic, which pays decent, but if i had kids i probably couldn't retire. I'd rather be able to travel on vacations and not work till I'm dead. Average US marriage lasts 8yrs, so odds are not favorable. Guy i work with had to mortgage his house to give his ex half the value. His kids are grown, but he won't retire. Its similar for a lot of guys I work with so that's always i…

I'm not looking for a "good catch". A good match would be welcome. At 37, i have had several relationships, and that is not my default setting. If i find a match that Is better than being by myself, and better for her than being by herself, or her other options, that would be great. Putting energy into myself right now is great though. Much of what you say is true though. After having relationships that have made my life worse and taken much energy, I am not actively looking to catch or be caugh…
