I remember something like that too but it’s hard to find on google. I’m guessing due to the nature of the topic. However I’ll continue to look for it more and stay in touch because this is really important issue that not a lot of people wanna give light to.

Well said. It’s for the best especially since I feel this anyway and I bothered to post on here.

Well I mean I understand how that looks but trust me bro. She really doesn’t give a fuck about that any of that. I’m sure if she read your comment that would fuel her enough to not deal with men and in turn would promote more of those types of messages she wrote. The ghost I agree but it’s little too much as for right now. But I’am going to distance myself and place boundaries.

I think that’s what it is for me. It’s not inherently an issue BUT I knew somewhere in this message something is off. Like I get it, it’s a vent but something was off. Maybe it’s that ego showing up through text. I wanted to say something afterwards but I thought it’s best to keep myself and remember that it’s her personal experience not mines and so I’ll just observe it.

Yea I’d rather the empathy and humility part over everything else. We need that in abundance.

Very true also the way he treats the guests it doesn’t seem like they create a space for dialogue. At that point it’s just shit talking and bashing. I don’t know this world is wired a certain way that we can’t just simply exist without conflicts and bullshit.

They are aren’t they? I only seen one episode I can’t recall which one maybe it was the one about unconditional love not existing but after that I kinda just fell off. Sounded too much like HS bullshit.

I’m sure it is but I need it to explain my situation. You can downvote and whatever.

Not entirely sure anymore.

Very true man. That’s honestly where I’m at: deciding if I’m gonna continue to be friends with this person of so many years despite her now the points of view has changed. I could’ve reconciled with some things but I don’t know all that comes to mind as of lately is “If you don’t like men just say so…”

It’s kinda starting to feel that way too, like an inkling. In 1% increments.

Right that’s one way of putting it but that was always like that with her I guess but now the contents of what she talks about changed and that “manosphere podcast” jab I know she was referring to the “Fresh & Fit” podcast on YouTube. Which I only seen one episode but it never really maintained my interest long enough to care. But now I wanna know if any guy on here has a similar female friend and how did they handle that or what they experienced and felt.

For context: The message wasn’t directed towards me. This is just her venting and her having epiphanies. I woke up to all these messages. Truthfully I don’t know what to make of these messages or what kind of person she’s turning into. I mean I guess good for her to write about it and help herself feel better. But I don’t know..

You should and need to honestly because what you said is the tip of an otherwise very nuanced proverbial iceberg and you brought it to light very clearly and simple.

I thought toxic masculinity was a term to call out dudes that shit on other dudes because they’re not acting macho and their interests are not the stereotypical things that men are supposed to like.

I cannot stress enough how often this needs to be stated because word for word is how I personally view this world. It’s the only truth that makes legitimate sense. Maybe not all men will “get it” but I hope a huge portion will figure it out and we can start seeing those changes.

Honestly it was obvious to me around 17-18 years old. At first I suspected it and create various theories as to why and then my friend(a woman) basically said the same thing. It’s the hard truth and a tough pill to swallow(no pun intended) But honestly it makes sense. The reason some of us aren’t clued in is because there’s the few who are just hellbent on being with a woman and will everything in their power to get with one. Long ago some men cared for 8-10s but then somewhere along the line th…

I never truly understood that word or why it has so much significance in current times. I know it’s been around forever but why so much now? Incels, simps, etc. all these derogatory terms are just chains and shackles designed to keep us dumbed down. We spend time exposing and identifying people like that and calling them all sorts of things but in the end we don’t know shit about a person’s mindset or who they are. We should never emasculate other men to boost ourselves for female approval, simp…

That’s very sad man. See that’s what I’m talking about because some men put too much focus on the wrong things or trying to win pointless arguments when all that energy should be spent just uplifting each and support each other. Especially when I’m sure there’s some out there who need a space to express themselves other than hate and anger. It’s just a matter of shifting the narrative and perspective from the súper machismo mentality to one where it’s just simply “No, I can’t my voice and my pai…

In a way..yes. I mean I want sex but I don’t need it. Feels good to have sex with women? Sure yeah I guess but is it worth giving up my focus and goals and desires over that? Nope.

Geez that’s pretty bad I couldn’t be around someone where they constantly have angry outbursts and just oozes stress. I’d avoid them like the plague.

For real man like I legit do not use humor for power plays. I just find humor in a lot of everyday things and for some reason my friend (ima call him John) really started to get bothered by some of my jokes. For context we both had a mutual friend who used to hang with us and in my opinion his type of humor was the type you commonly see nowadays in shitposting and “dank” memes. Just plain dark and fucked up guilty pleasure jokes. We hung with this guy for years with him (I’ll call him rob) mostl…

So actually I have the opposite story: my friend is pretty much sensitive. I would crack jokes but they were never to cut deep or insult him in any way just stupid sometimes deadpan or ironic jokes. Nonetheless he always took it as negative. Something was always an issue for him and at one point I started to feel like this guy always nip picked everything I said or do and I started thinking that “ I guess it’s just me because this will keep happening til I change something”. But rather than cutt…

Oh wow my bad. I should have picked it when you said that lol yeah i like the actor but the character really didn’t stand out to me unlike the other characters like go. I guess it’s for that reason-Don’t be a desi

Well yeah. At first I thought it was fucked up that be cheated because he could’ve left her when he had the chance but the woman amy that character terrified around the latter half of the film. The amount of psychological manipulation and torment that she put on the guy made me uncomfortable. It made me understand more about myself and at the same solidifies my view on women in that they are equal to us in terms of how cruel and dangerous one can become and that I don’t ever want to get married.…

I was thinking of reading the book to see if there’s any similarities with the movie or if certain content that’s cut that go a little more in depth with the motives of the characters and perhaps explain more their relationship and at what did it truly became toxic.

I agree with this 100%. The problem is then you have those who guilt you into it because you have a “moral obligation” and that you have own up and be responsible. Even if you don’t want the child or never planned it you face scrutiny for even fighting back. Especially from the woman and because you don’t wanna be the stereotypical “deadbeat” you’re stuck with a girl (whom you most likely did not like) and with a kid and lots of guilt and shame. All because equal rights when it’s convenient for …
