I've been vocal about the quality of your content in the past Woujo, and I'm still looking forward to reading your book. However, I think in this particular case, the guy you are responding to fluked a correct statement. It reads like a Youtube-short, and even more so; not like his own conclusion. But. I don't really agree with your definition. It's clear that you write from personal experience, but I can't help but feel that you confuse values and boundaries with frame. Whisper really made an e…

Sounds cool, doesn't work. The science on motivation took a huge leap in recent years when it was discovered that dopamine is less about pleasure and more about our motivation. Modern society offers endless possibilities for us to fuck up our dopamine balance which is what controls our will to seek experiences (and stay motivated). With a fucked up dopamine balance, willpower will have 0 chance of winning that battle. It's not a lack of character, it's biology. TRP is about challenging the curre…

There were a group of men wandering through the jungle at dusk. Suddenly, they hear a scream and the last man in the caravan disappeared, a long with a roar from what seemed to be the biggest tiger they've ever heard. Nothing we can do for him now, they said and went on. A week later the same group made the journey back, in the same formation. As they closed in on the place where the attack took place, their senses heightened. The last man in the caravan visibly nervous. Suddenly; a scream, and …

If not american, ignore this. Western countries except for the US does not have these horrendous divorce laws. The real red pill would be to add something new to the getting married debate without screeching about divorce rape which 1) we all know is bad in the US 2) does not apply to the rest of the west (at least not to the same degree)

Decent FR, the part where you went They go back to their table. I'm like fuck, whatever I'll just number close for now since the night is still young. is the important part. My rule of thumb is that if she's down to make out with you, she's down to fuck you. The attraction is there. This works because you believe it, but the truth is that women make out with guys for a plethora of reasons; a dare from her friends, wanting to make someone else jealous, curiosity or, sometimes - but far from every…

Well. Great post, I really think it is. However, the angle of the article makes me think that this is more of a field report than cathartic prose and doesn't that ironically make it a validation request? It also smells of GLO structuring and proofreading so I would be grateful if you at least was upfront about being on his team.

“if you aren’t a woman’s top option and you are texting her, the more she sees your name and not her top option, you get negatively reinforced into her mind as someone she’s not interested in.” It's from u/mallardcove 's "You're not her top option". An article saying exactly what this post says, only better. With that said I enjoyed this post and thinks it's a good one.

You should stop writing about stoicism. You clearly lack a good understanding and seem to be more of a historian than a practitioner. You do more harm than good with your efforts to defend it.

Fully agree with you - except for one thing. makes it come full circle I've found that going back and reviewing things like the sidebar is truly helpful when you've gotten some real experience under the belt. The sidebar is actually amazing, and when you read it the second time with your own added experience it gives you even more value. Instead of a circle I like to look at as an upward spiral.

A lot to unpack, for sure. This is the most blueballed, premature "end on high point" romance-explosion in recent history. I actually smiled - I'll take the punch here. If the reader holds no values why assign a priori what values he does posses? Values you have taken to heart by yourself through challenge rather than being force fed will always weigh heavier. If you were brought up in the west, how much of the trad values have you actually discovered and internalized yourself? You inherit these…

Instead, the most valuable part is the process of creating the hardened steel itself. The skill with which you create the tool. Which is for the traveler to discover. My point is to not feel complacent with the values you think you hold, but to keep searching until you come across something that truly resonates with you. To break free of the bonds of upbringing and social acceptance. The choice of material holds a trojan horse; the ceramic coating is a strong one, however it's not unbreakable. S…

But if you have no reaction to anything because of it, then maybe you have gone too far. I'm fighting a never ending battle here it seems. Stoicism never proclaimed that you should wander through life without taking action or having an opinion. The core message is to never let your emotions run you. Again, the stoics did not oppose feelings - au contraire - feel them. Just don't let them control your life without taking a second to think.

If you tolerated something, it was tolerable. Marcus Aurelius said: "Everything that happens is either endurable or not. If it’s endurable, then endure it. Stop complaining. If it’s unendurable… then stop complaining. Your destruction will mean its end as well." What I think you mean is that the average man has accepted a damaging narrative without proper questioning and retaliation. It's a common misunderstanding of stoicism; thinking that the lack of emotional response signals a silent moral a…

As the Stoics mind becomes more impervious to the misfortunes of life, he loses the will and the ability to positively and concretely assert themselves. Gay take. I actually have to enlighten some of the commenters in this post. I'm not convinced that OP got it from here, but in the second most upvoted post in TRP history, "HOW TO GET LAID LIKE A WARLORD" /u/MikeHaines writes: "13. The “I am enough” frame = the gold dust that gets you 9s and 10s The basis of your inner game is the idea that “you are enough”. In other words, you have value to women simply because you’re a man. You shouldn't give up living completely, that's not the point. And I don't exclude alcohol when I go out. For me it was more about the decadence of every day life; do I really need to listen to music, take pre-workout while going to the gym? Short answer, no. By excluding those two and just focus on my exercises the reward was greater. And if you also take into account that I'm not saturated from other things during the day before going to the gym I have this enormous hunger and drive to go work…

This is actually a good question. The short answer is that the feeling afterwards outweighs the dread beforehand. If you're interested in starting; start easy. Just lower the temperature of the shower by half a degree. It's what I did. However, just make sure you keep lowering the temperature every day.

Fair point, and a good question. I should've expanded more on this. I'll do my best here; So for starters I realized that the only thing I needed to do - was to do nothing. That would ensure that my baseline stayed somewhat neutral. In practice this meant that I challenged myself to spend 48 hours without any stimuli such as screens or junk food. Basically anything I suspected would spike my dopamine. In practice this meant - as I mention in the article - that I just sat down when not doing anyt…

I avoided writing about layering due to the length of the article - but you're completely right. I've kinda re-discovered music now that I'm not constantly saturated. I spend maybe 15 minutes a day listening to music but when I do I thoroughly enjoy it, compared to before where I'd just listen out of habit, getting little to no enjoyment out of it.

The common denominator for both OP's and your example is that you both speak of objections and not rejection. People working in sales know the difference between these two. You handle the objection a bit differently, as you ignore it completely. OP acknowledges the objection and then reframes it. The more challenging red pill would be to discern between rejection and objection.

Agreed, I like it. You mention informal - my thoughts are that this excerpt starts out pretty formal with quotes, some theory and source referencing which is done with great balance. Appreciate the meddling, RPS. If GLOs issue is that I don't give the kids a road map as to where they shut put the shovel to work that's something I can understand, but frankly that would be a behemoth of a post. It's hard to decipher through all the paranoia. You can teach kids a method to understand and learn algebra, but you can't nor shouldn't make them all engineers. What they do with the algebra - the toolbox - is up to them. That's my understanding of the red pill as a tool.

If we would be discussing starting a gym program, would you start with asking when the rest days are? If you wanted to get fit you would instinctively know that you have to lift weights, right? This is no different. When you have created a base line of discipline it's a tool you use no different than your fitness or let's say reading comprehension. Focus on what you can control. You can't control when you fall asleep, but you can control when you go to bed. Put 'going to bed by xx:xx' on your list. The first nights you might lie awake for a long time and this is OK. Use this time to sort your thoughts. After a few nights your body will become used to rest at this time and it will become easier to fall asleep. Take note, going to bed at a certain time is a more challenging task so don't start here.

Use your imagination and play to your strengths when deciding how you can best utilize a captive audience. Another way of thinking about this could be exposure time. The reason why OLD is challenging is that we can't increase our exposure time there. We know for a fact that many guys who get swiped left on would probably take the girl home after a night of adequate face time as a bartend or party host. Girls fantasise about the sexual tension between her and a guy the same age as her at the gate…

Finally, some forward thinking. Step 1. Become a role model. Step 2. Find a venue to influence younger men. Become a leader at your BJJ chapter, a volunteer-coach at your local football club, a youth-leader at your sailing-school. Doesn't matter, as long it's a gathering of boys looking for guidance in something. Step 3. Sprinkle them with RP values while teaching them the subject in question. Teach them the importance of self-control, responsibility and self-respect.

Part of why the academic fields of psychology and sociology are behind TRP is the fact that they have to consider the ethical part of experimenting. Not ethical in the sense of what's 'good' and 'bad' in regards to mating strategies, but rather in terms of surveillance, participant selection and the consequences of the outcomes. We don't care about that.

Like with many other things, the concept coined monk-mode have been hijacked by procrastinators and cowards as an excuse - yes. Taking time in solitude to figure things out - and then actually getting after them - is not inherently bad, we all know this. The issue doesn't lie with solitude itself rather when the time has come to leave it, the cowards don't, because they are afraid of the failures to come.

You are talking about quality and yet the only way you described the woman in your trashbag of a text was by explaining how she looked. The only thing this text explains, is what quality of a man the author is.

It’s not over until I win. Phenomenal way to get outcome dependent.

So what you're saying is that singular ordinary men can cause the 'decline' but singular ordinary men can not cause anything positive. Influencing and changing trajectory is not a romantic notion, it's pure logic. There's this annoying defeatist incel-ish attitude that we, you and I, have no impact on society except if it's a bad one.

You talk a lot of leadership and stepping up. What the fuck are you doing about it? I will not speak of it here, but I have been working on a post for the Fraternity. Will tell you more about it over there.

Milo Yiannopoulos wrote on this very subreddit a couple of years ago that we should sit back and wait for people like him to pave the way. They have done the work they needed to do. What to do? Nothing radical. Obviously not talk about Fight Club. But keep on doing what you already do. Lift, like OP has been preaching for better part of a decade. Read, not mindlessly, but hard texts things that expands your mind. Like GLO has been preaching, also for years. But do one thing more when you feel th…

That's one frame, and one that I have no issue with. Another is that you, capable and competent, abandoned your surrogate brothers when they needed you.

Considering the size of my dick we're talking real adversity.

Let's say that frame is in fact correct. I'd rather fight on the barricades than hide in the cellars of Alamo. My problem isn't the moral choice, it's defeatist attitude. History isn't happening to us, it's happening with us. Solution? Influence just two people in your life to think like we do.

The irony in coming down on lost boys for not "doing anything" and then running away to the balkans. The real 'decline' is capable people not stepping up. GLO believes in accountability. I do to. This begs the question if we want to be lectured about becoming men by a man that ran away from adversity.

I'll interpret your question in a general sense, since I dont know where you are at, or what the market demand looks like for your particular skills. One thing engineers tend to forget when they arrive at their first job (hell, even senior engineers do this) is that they are there to solve problems. Not equations or CAD-models - problems. As in; your boss gets an order from a customer and he needs you to solve the customers need, not present him with a flawless blueprint that doesn't work in rea…

Do not underestimate the power of having jobskills that are high in demand with little or no competition, when it comes to your outcome independence in life. That feeling of being able to say 'fuck it, I'm, outta' here' and having one or two interviews lined up before lunch is incredible and as close to FIRE-money you can come without actually having it. This will mold you and it will also influence all areas of your life.

You are a man, and she is a woman. She thinks soldiers are "asking to be killed". She will never understand what makes men want to be warriors. Therefore her opinons can never be rational.

I agree, I have pointed out on the subreddits that there seems to be no consensus over what definition we should use for frame. Rollos Iron Rule seemed established but since the Convention debacle I have noticed upvoted posts which didn't seem to share the definition. Great post by the way. Too bad you removed your sigil on this one.

Your lifting days are most certainly not over, stop victim puking. 'Flaring up' could be signs of inflammation. Inflammation in muscles/joints often stem from excessive stress. Excessive stress of certain muscles could be a result of you having strength-gaps in the supporting muscles and/or lack of mobility in your joints and muscles (for example: activation of lower abdominals and glutes are common problems) and thus compensating with other muscles/bad form. Let me give you an example of compen…

Intense post, good job man. We share a similar background story. In my younger years I enjoyed a fair share of popularity since I was a pretty decent football player but could'nt convert it to notches. Since we share to love for competition I just wanted to drop a comment on the BJJ vs. Krav Maga, since I've done both for some time now. I started with Krav, because if I was about to do MMA, I wanted the biggest meanest shit there is. And boy, Krav really is mean (I've had some prior training in …
