I have no problem with a moving a bit more towards the Scandanavian model for native-born Americans. 2	Which part of the political spectrum is in each gender's best interest? I do think there's a weird tendency in the US to falsely equate Scandinavian style socialism with like North Korea, or to assert that all socialist policies end in the mess of Venezuela. Because they don't have a terribly socialist set up, they just really have a high-taxed welfare state, and they don't have a police state apparatus. Socialism for the US absolutely means authoritarianism because millions of armed people will feel there are levels of shit they simply are not going to tolerate.
