Bit harsh, but don’t be her backup plan. If there actually is any hope of reconciliation the best thing to do would be to walk away, level up, and decline her offer of being “friends”. Without respect there is no love, and I doubt she will respect you being her email friend while she fancies her AP.

Your gut feeling is almost always correct. No point even asking your stbxw if there is someone else because they will deny and gaslight until the end of time. 99.99% of the time there always is someone else. Even with evidence mine still would lie to my face. They are very interesting people with complete lack of accountability.

I’ll never understand these scum bag men that willingly walk away with a married woman especially one that just gave birth 7 months ago.

There is always someone else, and of course she never admitted it. It would hurt her poor image and oh no she can’t have that happening…

Cheating is not a mistake but it is a deliberate CHOICE. She chose to put her own selfish wants over you and your relationship knowing that it would ruin everything. (She doesn’t give a single damn about you, your feelings, or your health). Once a cheater always a cheater, as painful as it is you have to give her the boot and put yourself first. She is not wife material if she can’t control herself.

Wise words, a part of me wants to be emotional and cling onto a false hope and another part of me knows it’s all bullshit and her actions show it.

I appreciate your words brother. Sorry you had to deal with the same miserable scenario. I’m starting to think we were all married to the same woman.

I pray that your son is truly yours. Such a shame many of us were lied to all of these years. We must stay strong together and become a better version of ourselves one step at a time. I appreciate your wise words and feel reassured that I’m not in this alone.

Same thing here found so much evidence and she still won't admit it. The damage is already done so what is the point of not being honest? Not sure how their brains are wired.

Yup hate to say it but seems like 99% of the time when a woman checks out of the relationship she already has someone else lined up. Lack of affection, emotional availability, a lot more secretive with their phone, the list goes on. It all adds up and there is pretty much nothing we can do about it. No point even bothering to ask her cause she most definitely won’t take any accountability and will gaslight until there is no tomorrow.

You have to understand that it had absolutely nothing to do with you. You gave 100% and did everything you could, but some people are unable to reciprocate that kind of love because they don’t even love themselves. Unfortunately it takes 2 people to hold a relationship together, regardless of what 1 person is willing to do. Your ex took the cowards way out and gave up on you, and your relationship. As cliche as it may sound, you were more than good enough, and eventually if you decide to will fi…

Took 0 accountability for anything, selfish, not willing to have hard conversations, phone in her face 24/7, lied about small things (so of course she would lie about cheating), not to mention extremely insecure how can they love anyone or anything if they don’t even love themselves

Dealing with the same exact thing. I am amazed at how well people are able to wear a mask for years, and then one day suddenly have no remorse, empathy, or feelings at all.

Maybe she is in hopes that you are not doing better than her? So has to constantly be checking up on what you are doing for her own sanity. She wants to make sure she made the right choice monkey branching, and could still be having second thoughts.
