Whoever asks generally pays, it's nice when the other person offers to chip in when the check is due. If someone picks up my tab I always offer to get the tip.

in sales this is called golden handcuffs, in your case bronze. Weigh your happiness being able to spend the rest of your life doing what you want, or just start doing that and stay married.

I doubt any court will order you to pay for anything like this, unless it’s in a written recommendation from the child’s pediatrician.

That MIL is about to become a mortal enemy, thru the divorce and into custody.

Is she incapable of making sound decisions for your kids? Like, which adults can be around them. if she can it's really none of your business.

Just wait till you're actually married, then wait till you're actually getting divorced. One can be prevented by not doing the other. I ignored a money red flags and married it, paid the price 2.5 years later when it all became about money, the only thing that saved my ass was divorcing it after only 2.5 years. She asked for 10 years of alimony and 1/2 my house (owned it before marriage). It was laughable but somehow she was justifying it and I ended up paying off her 10K credit card debt and wa…

Latino friend finder. I'm partially joking, I was you 3 years ago. Moved on a remarried 100% step up, my now wife is Venezuelan and amazing. My point is, it is and was not her for you. A better world awaits you my friend. BTW, we met at work not LFF but do not overlook other cultures when paving your next future, the world is a big place and right now you're stuck in a small bubble.

first rights of refusal after 8 hours, 25 more overnights past 50/50 because of this last year. Mom works nights and moved an hour away. We will be going for school placement soon and its pretty much a winner for me because she moved and I've provided more care. One more overnight is enough to do the trick, 25 is way past that. What below said about geographical restriction around school district. Also 50/50 custodial environment (this is different than physical custody and legal custody) It b…

bailed at 2.5 years with an infant. Was awarded straight up 50/50 in about 15 minutes with the mediators and the judge. Leaving was the best thing I could possibly do for my child, he now has a stable home life at one place for sure, instead of chaos in a home together. If its bad GTFO

The real shame is having to pay child support at all with 50/50. I have 50/50 and still pay 360 per month. I guess that’s my punishment for being motivated and her reward for being lazy.

She already grand slammed, face it. Move on bro, its painful but gotta be done. Do not have a relationship with someone who would tell you something like that, it was only meant to hurt you and it worked. Insulate yourself

Gym and RC cars, this is me. My son is just Turing 4 and we have all day RC bashes with hobby grade machines. He’s amazing at driving it, helping fix it, and watching videos about the hobby. It’s a great time! Plus I look great now from all the gym time.

"I do nasty things like call her names and send nasty emails/texts." this is abusive, she's the mother of your kids, grow up here. "staying out of each other's networks", this makes no sense, unless your both highly prominent figures, the network is earth and your both free to engage with whoever you want. you might think the childish texts mean nothing but they do, and actually could sway a judge when combined with other things.

Because divorce can wipe you out of your home and finances, child custody court even worse, abuse allegations are also next level but not uncommon. A bad marriage, along with a terrible divorce, toss a child in the mix and you can get really screwed over. Not worth it.

I divorced at 47 and remarried at 49, several many notches up in the looks department and a whole different galaxy in emotional stability. I went from the worst to an absolute stunner and it never would have happened if I wouldn't have filed for divorce. Pull up them boots straps solider

up to her but right now she is probably trying to figure out how to get as much money and custody (money) as she can't. If you follow the money, you will find the thought process- money. Did I mention money?

She will have other penis enter her body and your penis will enter another vagina at some point, hopefully soon. I know that hurt to read and I’m sorry but this is the truth, it’s nature. You had your turn, now it’s someone else’s. Move along bother I remarried quickly after and my now wife is in a completely different league and I’ve never been so happy in my life. This will be you.

One year of marriage with no kids would take about 3 minutes to figure out. You go your way, she goes hers. About 6 months and a 1000 bucks.

Yep, I was accused of the same, a monster from an unmedicated, diagnosed bipolar, who absolutely abused both me any my daughter. Laughable, as I wasn’t. Wait, I though you wanted equality? You should should be comfortable with being spoken to man to man then. When that don’t work you’ll be called a narcissistic

It almost always boils down to money my friend, or not working and money. It’s a bad sign that this is happening now. Of course you’ll need help with the child at 50/50, so will she.

Stay home for a year usually turns into 6 while you beg and remind her that it was supposed to be one year, meanwhile you’ve established over the last 6 years that she’s a stay home mom and your the bread winner. Divorce returns and your completely fucked. Tear the bandaid off now and don’t settle for less than 50/50 of your child. Let her enjoy he investments as a single Mom.

It’s a risk as she could frame it as you left and make attempts to come back from your trip very difficult. If it’s high conflict I’d just stand your ground at the residence. Yes, you do need your family. I did and they were across the county but I talked to them daily.

mine happened in mediation but she was told several times by both lawyers and the mediator that we were a 50/50 county and the judge would order that if we went to hearing. I was granted week on week off and shes getting 280 in CS. Do not give up as 50/50 is becoming more the norm and if you fight it will happen, biggest mistake is waiting as you're establishing the custodial environment.

Is she diagnosed bipolar? I she is GTFO, you’re too young for this shit. Don’t be going through it at 47 like I just did. Thank god the marriage was a short assed 3 years.

If she’s threatening the cops now, believe her as you will probably eventually be ARRESTED because of this person. Don’t ever trust anyone that says that to you ever again. She’s probably cluster B and you’re fucked no matter what. It’s early bro, GTFO like a train on a track.

That’s too young. I always feared a fire in the house my than any other threat and asked myself, could they escape a house fire if I was not present? 10 is too young to be watching a 6 year old.
