BS Vision has not only enabled me to avoid previous mistakes but appreciate those who have the opposite properties.

When you go to mediation you should bring your lawyer, so it will cost more initially. If contentious then you will have 2 lawyers haggling while they and the mediator all get paid. We had our mutually trusted financial planner mediate and since he knew us he could apply common sense so we didn't have to sell assets then divide. She took the cash and I got the house, my lawyer was glad for me but I don't think hers was.

I'm coming from a similar situation, 37 years and adult children. Get free consults from multiple attorneys, beware of those that try to encourage war. It just increases their pay. She had drained our joint accounts, not sure what my guy did but her lawyer advised her to give enough back so we could proceed and I wasn't quite broke.I filed so her lawyer had to respond to mine, which was a plus since hers wanted to drag everything out. We cohabitated for the duration, I installed a locking exteri…

Yes my x did the whole overly happy and loud thing too. This fit perfectly the crazy pattern she had developed over time anyway, not predictable in any way but not surprising either. Lived together for over 6 months like this until she left, what a relief now

My wife became a JW 2 years after we married, made it another 35 before the inevitable. She became erratic, drained the joint accounts to protect herself from me running off with the widow across the street. I never realized how stressful the whole situation was until it was over

Just what the lawyer got, less than 5k. She cleaned out the joint accounts, which is how I figured out the end was near. That could be considered a loss, but I did get the house for 10k. Went to a mutually trusted third party for mediation, I went to him first with copies of everything. When the ex tried to hide money I had statements for he became very helpful to me.

So you have no money, credit, or job to support this effort? Tomorrow wake up at 7. Walk for 20 minutes, that's 1 mile. Eat breakfast. Ride a bike for at least a mile, maybe 2 or more. Work at getting a job first, then do anything to keep busy. Do what you can at your house, then your neighbors or whatever groups you can. Try to be outdoors and moving as much as possible. The best buzz for me is an hour after I wake up, I've put a mile on my bike and sucked down a giant coffee. The rest of my da…

If a 50/50 state it's by when you file. So you'd be paying half of her rent and moving, plus whatever else she buys until then. The same applies for assets if she's working

My timeline is behind yours but I also don't feel bad, I'm hoping to get this resolved shortly. The only difference is I have no intention of spending the rest of my life alone. I'm 62 and have a limited time to appreciate a beautiful woman even though my idea of beauty is different than it used to be.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
