3	Why are men expected to help woman, while the opposite is never expected? The actual historical and biological reason is because the number of women is the limiting factor in population growth. Imagine a small town of 100, with 50 woman and 50 man. If 49 men died, the single remaining man can still theoretically repopulate the town. If 49 women died the town is going to die out within a generation.
