I think the movement we want is "egalitarianism", where we judge on objective criteria and capability, not your plumbing. Exactly. When a false accusation is made maliciously, it should result in the same punishment as the actual crime. There have been false accusations made for things like mistaken identity where there were other mistakes, but those aren't malicious - this one definitely is.

That wouldn't do it for me - it's just not the way I'm wired. However, I also think doing that for one another is incredibly sweet and charming. I never understood why some people reacted so well to those kinds of gifts of time and others didn't until recently - was recommended a book called "The Five Love Languages": sounds like you guys have(had?) very similar and compatible ones at least, "acts of service" and "quality time" would be my guess.
