Thank you! The concept was in the back of my head most of my life, but what made the concern strong enough to seek out this subreddit was a combination of two things: A friend being unable to stop his ex girlfriend from aborting his child because he had no legal say in the matter, and my brother in law having his daughter kidnapped, everything he owned stolen, and being falsely accused of rape and DV with absolutely nothing he could do legally to protect himself.

I would assume you don't know many gay men. Or if you do, you know ones like a former roommate of mine who were somewhere between genuinely gay, self-loathing closeted MtF, and trying way too hard to fit in with the gay media stereotype. That's not what I see here at all. We show frustration at certain extreme feminist lobbyists/talking heads, but I'd argue that what we want here is actual equality. I realized that there have been ways women suffered in the past(and currently in some third world country) but the answer to that is working together, not emphasizing gender divides and going too far in the opposite direction.

I absolutely agree. I didn't mean breaking down in the sense of destroying utterly - More along the lines of switching it from "the best and only way to be" to "another valid lifestyle option." I totally support people who do prefer the traditional structure and find it fulfilling. I just don't think it should be objectively considered "normal". I don't know the exact statistics on this sort of thing, but I know that of the FtMs I know it's been about 50/50. I wouldn't categorize myself as strictly homosexual though(it's sometimes easier to just accept the label than argue) - I've had and enjoyed relationships with women but I lean towards men and my soulmate just happened to be one. :)

For instance - in my state a woman can get an abortion at her will regardless of whether or not the father wants to keep the baby. Pre-op because I'm currently arranging to have my ovaries cryogenically frozen so that my male partner and I can have our own biological children in a few years. We plan to get a massive amount of legal shit for this, but think it will be worth it. After they're out and can't be damaged by hormones I'll complete the rest of the transition. And I understand the assumption that someone who has actually been raped would be afraid to see their rapist in court, but it's something that has to happen. I realize that there will always be relationships with age gaps - my issue is that a teacher is responsible for the welfare of their students and a figure of trust and authority to them. If a junior or senior is going to sleep with someone in their early twenties, alright. I won't argue with the rest of the points, but a circumcision can definitely alter someone's life. It can cause serious asymmetry, skin bridges, difficulty urinating, complications from infections, and if the tip of a certain muscle is nicked during the procedure the penis could potentially retract into the pelvis. Being nice to the child is no reason he should suddenly be on the hook for child support, especially since the women were domestic partners and the children were legally theirs. Sure, he continued to be a family friend and would buy gifts for the kids, but who wouldn't do that for the child of a friend and/or someone in your extended family?
