I just really hate men, so much, you've seen right through me! actually, you're still being excessively negative here. No. I'd like a taxi service where even if i couldn't be 100% guaranteed my safety from a physical attack, i'd have a good chance at fighting them off. Maybe he had my best interests at heart by trying to make me aware of the dangers of hitchiking, but I felt the environment we were in was not appropriate for that discussion. I was fine when i got in the taxi, when i got out i was feeling uneasy. You wouldn't pull aside another person alone in an alley and say "hey, do you know the dangers of being in an alley alone, you could get murdered!". Lets take this into perspective here, I have to say that in my city in Australia I have NEVER seen a female taxi driver, they're all male, and for good reason, because violent assaults happen against our taxi drivers.
