I have to agree with op, I "survived" a 14 year marriage only to have her bail when she got her MBA. So many things I want to say, but it's pointless. Keep your end goal in sight. Im a goddamn 4 year virgin. No relationships. The 2 I was involved in ended in discovering one was a closet drunk and the other needed a father. Fuck all that. Too old to be raising another child at 48. There are good women out there, but I'm not fucking with them anymore. Maybe someday someone will change my mind, but…

It's a long story. I'm on my 3rd lawyer. Be careful who you marry.

Man if you can get out by just giving up your car do it. I'm in $10k in lawyers to maybe recover $5k worth of shit. She made 2x my salary, but she's been unemployed the past year so now I'm in the hook for support. I'm also in CA, It's unbelievable. If you can, make the divorce quick. Everything you bought before the marriage and after the separation is yours. If cash was gifted to you by your family, it's yours (like a house down payment during the marriage, but you do have to prove it.) Everyt…

Mine is an MBA, I'm just a low paid printer. After I filed for support she quit working and is sponging off her BF. It's tied up in courts but meanwhile I'm broke AF.. court is not forcing her to comply with anything, I'm sure if I pulled a fraction of her shit I would be fined tremendously

I've been on my own for 4 years now, except for my kids that I see every other week. First 2 years were hell, no lie. It got easier. The 3rd year I put myself out there with some reserve (broken back, cancer dx) but got the confidence anyway. Found out there's little out there but freeloaders and mental wrecks. I learned that I don't like people all that much, and enjoyed being on my own doing my own things I like. Probably would be nice to share that with someone but I feel just as content on m…

Going through this right now. Ex made 3x my salary, when she left she hasn't put a dime toward mortgage or community debt. Been in court 40 MONTHS now. My 3rd lawyer., She's representing herself. She wants half of the shit including my retirement, and wants me to assume part of her school loans. Midway through the process she got canned for being a drunk and has been on unemployment/disability for the past year or so, and is now after me for child support. I eventually paid off all the debt on m…
