Men that want marriage do so because society pressures them into it with the idea that being married is the checkpoint that you have to cross in order to be successful. Marriage is male slavery now when it used to be used as a system to show their possession of women. How it got twisted is unknown. Regardless, we need to stop pressuring other men into thinking they need to do this.

Here's the problem with that. Since they are connected at the hip, spending time with just him is nearly impossible. I do everything I can to avoid her, but if I want to communicate with him, she's there. What's also sad is that when I tried to stand against her, he would remain silent or even defend her. He's concerned about the cost of divorce proceedings as well as the cost of the actual divorce (even if he can easily prove he's 100% supported her and the household for 30 years, he's rightfully concerned that she would still be favored in court). I've also called her out directly and was met with only hostility and crazed screaming about how I'm going to Hell. My mother, who hasn't worked since 1985 constantly screams at my father about he doesn't make enough money and how she deserves better. I'm grown and an only child so that's not even a factor to worry about. When I was younger, he probably felt obligated to stick around (and Jesus) but now he's suffered with her for so long he just can'…

It's not accidental that sports have separate male and female divisions. Just imagine if the Olympics had every category mixed gender: no woman would take home a medal. Gotta give them a chance to win something.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
