Because delivery is important. The way people interpret content depends on the delivery. You are right. People can believe what they want. I believe it is easy to judge from a high horse and condescend other women when one is insecure in their relationship and thinks they are wiser than everyone else. I have never found tearing down other women and trying to passive aggressively humble women to be classy, but again, like you said, people can believe what they want. Cheers!

Possibly it is the way you phrased things. To me, it came across as you clutching your pearls and calling other women stupid for believing that their husbands only have eyes for them. I feel like we all want to believe that. What is the point of the reality check? It is hard to understand tone just from text. I do not know why people in your life are saying that. First world problems

The edit makes things clearer. Without it, not going to lie, you were coming across as jealous. “My man is attracted to other women, so all heterosexual men must be the same way” was how I was interpreting it. I think it’s a wonderful thing for a woman to be proud of her husband and how loyal he is. I think you are taking those social media posts a bit too literally. I just view it as nonsensical comedy

I know plenty of men who only have eyes for their wives. I think what they meant is that you don’t have to be objectively attractive for your husband to think that you’re the hottest girl in the world.

Screaming and breaking things is never okay. I’m usually not someone who jumps to “leave him”, but this seems like something that will escalate. OP, run. This is abusive.

Take the Five Love Languages quiz together and it’ll open up the floor for this conversation. You can show him your results and then expand on each of them and tell him how receiving gifts makes you feel. Be sure to emphasize that it’s not about being superficial, but more so about feeling cared for. The quiz is how my husband let me know that he needs more words of affirmation. He showed me his results, which led to us both asking each other questions and explaining to each other the importance…

“You’re beautiful” is a lot more generic than “you have a cute nose”. He’s probably said the former to a million others but the latter one is tailored to you specifically, meaning, he noticed your features. That’s just men paying attention. There’s nothing strange about it. What’s the real issue here? Do you not like specific compliments or are you uncomfortable with people noticing the features that you had altered? Are you truly uncomfortable with the comments or are you uncomfortable in your …

This comes comes off as desperate, and I mean this no disrespect. Desperation repels men. Please take a breather, OP. You’re still a teenager! I understand wanting a man at that age but truthfully, most teenagers barely know themselves enough to make such an important decision. And making the wrong decision when it comes to choosing your partner never pays off. Please get to know yourself. Men will always be there but you won’t be 18 again. You can date when you’re older, but you won’t have the …

His aggression is absolutely not your fault. RPW will never condone violence. You do what’s best for your baby. Formula is amazing, but the reason for feeding formula should not be because your partner wants you to look more attractive, especially when you want to breastfeed. I truly cannot imagine a grosser suggestion. Please do not blame yourself, OP. You’ve gone through enough as is. Don’t gaslight yourself into thinking you’re partially responsible. The kids come first and deserve to grow up…

I’m so sorry you went through that OP. This specific situation may not be “physically” abusive, but it is absolutely abusive nonetheless. You did not feel safe in your own home and neither did your child. Also, any man that is willing to compromise the health of their child for his own benefit does not deserve to be a father. He’d rather your baby be on formula just so you can be more attractive to him and there is nothing more disgusting than that. You are 4 months post partum. Your priority sh…

Can you ask him what kind of clothes he likes on you? He could show you pictures to help you figure it out, then you can tailor it according to your preferences. Maybe you guys could go shopping together and he could pick some items on, and you could model them for him. For example, if he shows you a picture of a blue sleeveless tight mini dress, you can try a blue sleeveless knee-length dress that’s fit-and-flare. It keeps some elements of what he likes and combines it with a style you’re comfo…

I highly recommend Nexplanon! It’s over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy and my periods have gotten so much lighter. I used to have horrendous cramping and I barely get cramps these days. I haven’t seen any side effects either. I’d highly recommend doing a lot of research into birth control. There is a lot of misinformation and disinformation out there. Birth control isn’t poison; it allows us to take charge of our own health. If you’d unable to use birth control, I’d recommend sticking wit…

So I’ve read the post and your comments, and I have to say, your husband is being rather unreasonable. You’ve laid out all the reasons why he cannot compromise and you’re the only one who has to, which is very concerning. Both of you take care of the kids and both of you work. If he needs you to work, he needs to be okay with everything that comes with you working. Maybe it’s time to set some boundaries? You’ve been more than accommodating.

This isn’t sustainable in the long run though. Your husband is getting everything his way abc you’re the only one adjusting. Partnerships are about compromise, not just one party yielding all the time. I’d have a conversation with husband if I was in your shoes. He needs to try harder to accommodate you.

I think people are just confusing RPW with the recent TikTok femininity trends. Entitlement was never a part of RPW, especially when women bring nothing to the table. Entitlement is what creates the 48 oyster girl or the Cheesecake Factory woman that’s going viral on TikTok right now. Holding women accountable and stepping away from entitlement is why I stand with RPW. There are forums dedicated to achieving success as a sugar baby. I don’t know why this is being confused with RPW.

“I was scared he has stds since he goes to Vietnam”…….what? The way you’re just casually racist is appalling.

This is rather odd. It’s almost like he’s buying your virginity. My now husband, then boyfriend took me on a weekend getaway where we slept together for the first time. It was a gorgeous AirBNB in a city I’ve wanted to visit for a while. I lost my virginity there. He didn’t think I was going to sleep with him so there were no expectations. He just wanted to make me happy and take me on a trip. There was no “she’s a virgin so I’ll book a nice place in case she wants to give it up”. That’s rather …

Cheating is disrespect. I would never tolerate disrespect from a man, even if he’s a billionaire. I think most women have enough self worth to not accept cheating.

Depends on the kind of man you want and if you're open to online dating or not. I met my now husband on Bumble. You could try that route but I'd suggest you avoid Tinder as it it mostly for hookups. If you do end up online dating, make sure to specify in your bio exactly what you're looking for and vet your matches based on that criteria. If you want to meet people irl, then you'll need to go where the men are. If you'e looking for a wealthy man, hang out in wealthier areas. If you're younger, h…
