yeah, i had one of those cool scale rings that I got from the renaissance fair taken away because of the metal detectors at my high school. completely unrelated but it's funny, the only violence i saw at my school was the resource officer taking away a drunk dad that was arguing with a student (not even his kid) during a particularly uneventful lunch.
