Nothing is good for you. It resets dopamine levels to normal. When I quit porn I quit video games and nicotine too. I quit a lot of things. I still watch movies and read, but I try to avoid entertainment couched as “hobbies.”

I think there’s a misunderstanding here. I’m not saying this guy was wrong for what he did - but it’s a slight social faux pax, not something that should be criminalized. “Women and children first” wasn’t some feminist ideology. It was something that came out of the romantic/Victorian era. It had nothing to do with chivalry AKAIK.

I didn’t say women being evacuated first was benevolent sexism.

It’s not that you’re comparing apples to oranges, it’s that you’re comparing something relatively harmless like giving up your seat to something harmful like the wage gap.

Wow, I had no idea people thought this way about benevolent sexism. No one’s getting hurt if he gives up his seat, and it’s just a cultural practice. That’s not really the same.

Because you’re too dumb to tell when women are interested in you. I finally swallowed my pride and started talking to girls that showed interest in me. A lot of them were great, I was just way too used to having to be in charge of a relationship, it felt strange to me when women were making the first move.

I would also question what the research considers 'emotional compatibility' to be, where it comes from and what sustains it. Compatible attachment styles. Almost everything else is made up. I've found its often helpful for guys bringing it back to the very basic and God ordained masculine/feminine dynamic. I was talking with a brother about this, and he said that church girls didn’t like him, or never expressed interest in him. And then I pointed out they probably were attracted to him, rigid ge…

Guys in their late 20s-early 30s killing it in all aspects of life except dating, confused as to why girls go after dudes who are just your average joe, or even worse etc.. This is probably a sign that your entitlement-fueled ego is driving people away. I see tons of guys like this who act needlessly aggressive and extremely “macho” end up single. Dating and courtship is honestly one of the most difficult social interactions you’ll have in life. These guys who you think are “beneath you” figured…

This might come as a shock to you… but healthy parenting figures will actually cross over into each other’s roles. Men will adopt the role of nurturer that is reserved for women and women will become assertive and strong. This is actually biblical too. It was Rebecca that secured the birthright for Jacob. Esther and Mordecai essentially trade roles in a subversive story. There are probably more examples of this. This has been confirmed with empirical research. It’s probably one of the strangest …

This is probably the reason women aren’t very inviting at church: if you think the social pressure and stigma around men is bad, it’s much worse for women. Dating around can get a woman labeled as a slut. And a lot of women don’t want to lose their church either. It’s a lot of risk for little reward. And that is compounded with the stigma against breaking up, breaking off engagements, and divorce. So if things go wrong, they go catastrophically wrong. And women bear the brunt of that. Now if you…

Dating is tricky and extremely fragile. I honestly have a lot of female prospects but women can act extremely offensive without knowing it and I know I can’t proceed. I think a lot of it is a byproduct of the shame from purity culture and a fusion of modernity. Letting people in to the deepest part of yourself requires wisdom and care, that’s why some women can seem very flaky - they instinctively know to be somewhat guarded. A lot of RP men complain about the declining quality of western women,…

…here, I’ll save you the trouble: There are probably lots of great girls who are interested in you, and you are either too inexperienced to know how to proceed or you are oblivious due t9 your insecurities.

The real answer for why you’re single is going to shock you. Trust me. When you find it, it’s like taking the atomic mega black pill.

Well why is it infuriating that other people are succeeding at relationships where you’ve failed. Sounds like sour grapes to me. They obviously know how to succeed where you failed.

I stopped listening to him and almost instantly was happier throughout the day. I miss the days of KABC here in Los Angeles where they had some solid conservative/libertarian talk radio. Larry Elder was someone I could listen to (although not anymore) without getting riled up because he wasn’t incendiary even when he got heated. He had a week-long devotion to a man being sent to prison for 3 years for killing a woman’s pet. He was outraged. 3 years for killing a pet was absurd. I agreed with him…

But somehow I just don't get it with girls. Your first problem is this: externalizing your issue. More than likely, oozing entitlement… What's infuriating is that the guys getting girlfriends/married are pretty decent normal dudes. I'm not saying I'm better but I should be at least on par with them, given I'm the more mature/established man as I'm one of the oldest of the young adults group and most of them are still in college trying to figure out life. This is an unbelievably toxic mindset to …

For western women, it's all about me me me You seem to share this problem, but I should warn you, that women from third world countries aren’t picture perfect either. People are the same all over. you are still left with singe moms, overweight women, women with pasts, etc. This is the epitome of self-centered thinking that you’re slamming western women for.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
