1	How did feminists manage to infest academia and influence law and policy in the way they did? Because academics are on average more anti establishment and status quo than the population. That sounds ridiculous in the current climate, but its historically true (could find personality studies which show this). For a long time, the status quo WAS misogynistic (think mad men era). This led to feminist thinking being anti status quo. Academia however, has a huge impact on culture. So eventually anti status quo feminist thinking became mainstream through student education.
