I live in the U.S. and my grades are good enough for some scholarship which means im getting the fuck out by dorm or apartment, and my parents are quite liberal as muslims, yet still conservative as fuck - i dont need to worry about getting my head cut off. Im hopefully taking the fact that im an atheist to the grave. Nonetheless i really apprecuate the kind words and your metaphor is quite accurate. Cheers!

Gotcha. I actually read this article awhile back that says that when you are actually beaten up and have every reason to quit, it has the potential to give the most improvement when you keep going. I think it could also apply to what you said, physically and mentally as well.

Thank you the support means a lot. However i believe one needs to be broken to some degree to improve. Dont you tear muscle fibers when you lift, but they become stronger as a result? Now that same weight becomes effortless until you experience a heavier one. Same w character in my experience.

Im all in w the gym and hopefully ill continue it. I started asking my dad to get steamed vegetables, chicken, and steak as well. Started w the just the bar this week and luckily my gym gives a free 1 hour session w a trainer when you first join so i learned some of the form for the lifts in 5x5 and im watching mehdis videos. Im happy to make this a lifelong committment.

I still believe weight loss is still a necessary goal that improves health and your overall life. What I'm saying is not that obesity should be normalized on the pretense that you can still be "healthy." What I'm saying is that this is an example of a man who fell so far down yet picked himself back up. People helped him when he needed it, but he still pushed to do the work himself based on the advice given to him. Not many are this morbidly obese, but he still managed to do this.

I did read one guy saying that the nofap program helps prioritize his life and pursue actual sex without masturbation to fall back on. Put into that perspective, it coincides with trp very much. Odd that he didnt get downvoted to the fiery pits of hell IIRC.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
