Divorced years ago! However, she's taking me back to court because she wants more money before our kid ages out. So... I can't really tell you my story right now. 😞

DAMN!! This sounds EXACTLY like my story!! Down to the penny!! I'm also pretty sure my X didn't have an evil twin, but seeing that cheating on husbands is a generational characteristic I wouldn't be surprised.

Why? There is no scenario where this has a positive outcome for you.

Lawyer up. File first. STOP being "a nice guy". That woman you once loved is gone. Takes it from me. Your story is the same as mine. I didn't listen to my attorney and I LOST EVERYTHING because I was trying to be understanding and forgiving. Take her off your insurance. She's made her choice. Focus on yourself and protecting your assets.

Don't do it. I did. And I was royally screwed over! I lost EVERYTHING. Looking back, I absolutely would have ended all communications with her. I should've trusted my gut, my attorney, and my friends. 😡

-1 yr. She was already living with her affair partner before our divorce was over.

My X is a textbook narcissist. I have such peace and genuine happiness in my life now. My children prefer spending time with me (1 of my children is actually no-contact with her). I can tell you from experience that things seem scary and bleak because it's unknown. But you're making the right decision Do you want your life to be this way in 5 years - miserable and unsatisfied while you continue to provide? Or in 5 years would you rather be investing time and emotion with someone who values YOU.

It's time. I think you know the correct next move, and it's not easy by any means. But think about this - your child will have 2 households. One with structure and discipline and the other 🤷🏽‍♂️. Which one will they thrive better in? Realistically, you could have your attorney argue for full custody. Which means your son would spend significantly more time with you. I should have filed YEARS ago, but didn't for the sake of the my kids. Even now my kids have told me that I should have filed years…

You should file for divorce last week. She's coming across as a succubus. Things WILL NOT get better. Your child is young enough that any possible damage will be minimal. Get. Out. Now.

My narc ex can't be trusted. She's deleted emails and texts to manipulate the truth. It's actually in our decree that we can only communicate via the app. I love it. She hates it because as a narc she's doesn't have control.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
