2	Equality of outcome shouldn’t matter, only equality of opportunity Where does equality of opportunity end and equality of outcome start? There is no problem IMO with different gender ratios in different sectors, but problems arise when a hostile environment prevents or discourages women from joining a particular field. Problems such as sexism and discrimination towards women still exist in very male-oriented fields, although it is getting better.
