You both have to pull out your phones, start entering numbers in your respective phones, which kinda kills the mood and invites phones into the conversation. (I guess if you do this at the very end it doesn't really matter what mood you kill.) Additionally, no guarantee the numbers are actually exchanged. That is if one party doesn't wish to transfer a number they can simply provide a false one and not use the received one.
