As far as I know it’s been like this for a while at least 20 years, I mean my recruiters did it and I’ll do it in October. All of my friends that just shipped I know did it, it’s all about building a better man/woman the few the proud Marines. Yeah the phone call is true and I wouldn’t be surprised of doing formations in running shoes. I just enlisted in the Marine Corps and yeah it’s dedication for sure but what I found interesting is all of my recruiting officers are married with kids and 27-28. There’s one exception and I enjoy his presence for sure, divorced and now has a new girl over every night as you all might want to know he was scared from his divorce but now regards it as the best thing to ever happen to him after joining up.
