I wouldn't say it's directly an issue. I'm in a country where prostitution is legal to practice, but if it's illegal then I don't believe that's necessarily a gendered issue whether you agree with legality or not. That being said, there are countries around the world where prostitution law is discriminatory against men. This is pretty much worthless advice to you, but I think it's worth reiterating to anyone who sees it. If a woman you are dating ever raises a hand against you, leave her and don't look back, because even if you're the victim, the police and the courts will always be biased against you.
