I actually don't know, to be quite honest. Women are hypergamous and naturally, they will marry a man that has more in the way of being able to contribute financially, rather than a man who isn't as wealthy. Most Muslim men don't like their in-laws being involved in their own households and his spouse is to be influenced mostly by other women, eventually having their way in his home. Another one of the reasons why Muslim men are steering away from marriage.
