Karl’s mid 40s. Lisa is 60+. At any point in this timeline Lisa is the senior / more experienced journalist. If she’s on $700k, and Karl is on $2M, that’s a $1.3M pay gap. It’s not possible for there to have been a pay gap that large when Lisa was the experienced lead host. Putting all that aside, Karl was the talent, but Lisa is and was a better journalist.

In all honesty, it might be time for personal reflection on the facts. How many women are you talking about here? Is there one woman whose been promoted ahead of you and you're pissed? If you really looked at the KPIs and criteria for promotion, were the two candidates evenly placed, or objectively the woman unfairly promoted? And the rhetoric of "diversity" is beholden to the almighty dollar - no one makes decisions that will lose them money in the long run.

There is the little matter of the university considering there to be enough ... something ... (I won't say evidence in a legal sense) to justify expulsion. But closed door trial, lack of procedural fairness yada yada.
