I'll bet she painted herself into a corner intellectually speaking and wound up trying to defend a ridiculous position rather than "humble" herself by changing her view. Having your opinion swayed by reasoned discourse is a fundamental element of being a functional human being imo.

It's a mutual consent process, suppose both party's are "intoxicated" and have sex. Legally speaking this gives the woman a "rape" recourse where the woman can and the man cannot retroactively remove their consent. This creates an unequal power dynamic which is exactly what first gen feminists were rallying against. Regardless of which gender you construe to have the upper hand it's a policy which contributes to gender inequality.
