Keep in mind you’ll have to pay capital gains since you sold under two years. Make sure that financial responsibility is split as well.

Thank God I had legal insurance through work and a wife who was so checked out she didn’t contest anything. It was maybe $600 worth of filing fees and a notary on her end. Divorce sucks but I made out like a bandit in that sense.

The fact Owen Wilson wrote a scene where his real life brother kills himself to THAT song, knowing what transpires years later…Yeesh.

That scene in Royal Tenenbaums haunts me. Probably haven’t seen the move in ten years.

Definitely went through a long Elliott Smith phase in college. But I’ll always love that postal service album.

I wore that album out in 2004. “So Far Away” by Carole King always stops me in my tracks.

Seconding I Prevail’s Trauma, studio and live versions. I was in the top 1% of their streamers last year.

I’ve found myself in a friends with benefits situation that helps scratch that itch. I’m a year out from my separation date and the thought of dating new people has no appeal to me. It’s nice to have zero strings attached sex when our calendars line up. Do what feels right. I may date again but don’t see it in the near future.

I have a similar story with my ex. I’m coming up on a year since she left. It gets easier.

I also struggled during the holidays, even after feeling halfway normal again in the months leading up. She left February 2022 so I’m almost done with these “firsts” (first Christmas alone, first birthday alone, etc) and I expect things will continue getting easier. Find projects, big and small, and focus on you as much as possible.

She definitely received the docs during discovery. I think there’s a 50/50 chance she put them in a box somewhere and forgot about them. I was just curious how reliant she’d be on me if she lost/threw away the documents and where to direct her.

Does she need our old tax returns for any reason for this tax year?

Not ED but my libido went in the toilet for months, made worse by a bad diet and too much alcohol. Take care of yourself, be patient, and seek out little blue pills if you need a stopgap. Divorce takes a huge toll mentally and physically.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
