Nuclear option is definitely my last choice. The ex has never ever been brought up to me which I'm usually fine with cuts lets be honest who wants to talk about that shit? no one. I certainly don't want to hear it. With that said I'm completely in the dark on how done she really is. I don't think she's trying to lock me down, I usually can tell. I wouldn't have given exclusivity in the first place. You are obviously not ready for that in this state of your relationship. Since you've given it any…

probably the biggest contributor to our shitty economy right now. Wait, so you're saying, I'm just as guilty as Nazi soldiers were in the Holocaust because I signed an oath of enlistment while we were in a shitty economy? Solid logic man. With that same logic I assume our entrance into WW2 was just as despicable to you? And those men that joined and fought on our side, the well developed businessmen, male schoolteacher, blue-collar worker all of them despicable? You wan't me to honestly believe …

This also blows my mind. How in the fuck is this chick supposed to drag me out of the shit if I get hurt. 180 pounds plus gear, no fucking way she's gonna be able to drag me 50 yards to cover. The standards should not change because of gender especially in combat roles.

HOLY FUCK, how in the world can you be so close minded? The military does suck a lot of money, I'll give you that. A socialist welfare program? Thats a load of shit and you know it. The military doesn't pick and choose who they fight and who their enemies are, its the same DIVERSITY PUSHING PUSSIES that choose who we fight and why. You saying the military is the biggest pile of shit America has asinine. I and many of my friends and brothers I have fought with DID NOT NEED your so called socialis…

I once read that texting is like using sticky notes in real life. You wouldn't use them to have a conversation, only to get things done. I.E. "Pick up more milk" or "Come to the sullylicious love den at xxx time" Use that same theory for your text game. Texting is for setting up meetings and dates, not small talk and other shit. Only text as conversation when a girl is turning into a serious love interest and not just a hook up.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it and the fact I'm not getting trolled over this haha I havent texted her back yet, but I'll tell her as soon as I feel like it. Im going into a shitty week at work so I don't want to plan something that I'll bail on. Solid date idea, but it'll much likely be a lot different as theres no where to really do any of that without a long drive. I live in a shit military town in texas at the moment. Once, again thanks for the advice man.

This. I should've done this, but my beta self got caught in the moment. And I'll definitely give the podcast a listen. I'm extremely new to all this and have always been caught up in the nice guy way of thinking wondering why shit doesn't work. NOT ANYMORE!

I appreciate the tough love. Quite honestly I've never been the guy to approach.... ever! Saving you the bullshit, I got the number and she asked me if I would want to get a bite to eat sometime.

This would be my first implementation or trp game as I'm literally brand new to this. Realized I have beta tendencies that I'm trying to kick. No time to watch videos now. I will when I get home though.

exactly what bicepblastingstud said below. To iterate on that our force is in a period where all the small things matter. Which means its a lot easier to get in trouble and be a sub par soldier. The army is not looking out for you anymore, they only want the best. if you do something to show that you're not the best they'll boot your ass as fast as they can. I'm not trying to discourage you from joining, it has changed my life and i have grown greatly as a person. You just need to know without a…

He won't, and I definitely won't either. I'm selfish and this is waaaaaay too good to be telling people about.

Use the military as a last resort was the point that I failed to mention. Only if you are sure that you can not change yourself for the better and you are sure that the military could do that for you. You need to have a conversation with your dad about this, discipline can be taught without signing your life away. Keep in mind that the militaries attitude has changed 10-fold even in the last 3 years I've been here. The point of that is its not going to be the experience your dad went through. Al…

I'm 21, joined the army right out of high school and became a cavalry scout in the army. I'm currently sitting in a barracks room on post. All by myself. haha What interests you? You said you went to school, but are you smart? Are you a logical thinker or just looking for an easy out to have someone else do the hard work of "whipping" you into shape?? The military is one of the biggest commitments you will make if you decide to go that route. theres no getting out if you don't like how its run, …

I was actually just in a situation very similar to this over this last month and it came to a head yesterday. With that being said, I didn't know about TRP at all before a friend told me about it last night. You and I are the same in needing an intellectual connection in an LTR, I too am 21, she's 20, and I haven't been in a real relationship in 3ish years. (never join the army. lolz) After what I learned through my shitty little connection that ended this weekend and reading TRP pretty extensiv…
