There it is. You will continue to be alone.

What a stupid generalization. By that logic, all bus drivers and vet techs are also slutty.

Or she deals with creeps like you all the time and decided it’s best not to engage. What kind of decent human would be pursuant of a cheater? If it’s telling, it’s telling for both of you. Gross.

Why would you start feeling insecure about it? People are people are people. If you’re attracted to a person, enjoy their company. Who gaf what passers by think?

Leave her alone. You’re obviously only into playing games. If you forgot to text her all day there’s no way you’re ready for more than a situation.

Live your life. If there’s something there and she’s not just saying words out loud, maybe the future will bring you together. By no means should you wait around though.

I think that tactic may come on a bit strong. Try not to use exaggerated language like ‘extremely pretty’. Women won’t believe that. Your method isn’t without merit though, just dial it back a bit. Try ‘hi, my name is ______. I think I’d like to get to know you, can I give you my number?’ It’s non-presumptuous and casual. It gives her options and won’t seem like you’ve been practicing it over and over. Keep it simple and, if you start feeling awkward you have an easy out as well. Read the body l…

Personality is a major factor too. Women are typically attracted to confidence, ambition and someone who can hold a conversation. Girls are more likely to be interested based solely on appearance. Do you want a girl or a woman?

Unless you plan of perusing the guy, I say just let it die. She’s upset now but she will get over it. Just keep being a good friend and try not to do that again in the future. It’s not exactly within the friendship code to go after a friends crush, even if the crush isn’t interested in your friend. Just try to put yourself in her position, wouldn’t you be a little upset too?

Stay off her socials for now. Go to the next running event and say hi. Talk and read their signals, if the chat doesn’t go well I would suggest leaving her alone. If you’re really interested you should ask to get your manager friend to come to the event. Could help break the ice.

Yep, just be straight with her. It’s not fair to either of you to let it go on. I’m going to guess you’re fairly young, maybe high school age. That’s why I said it’s a small bit in your life and isn’t really that big of a deal. Fact of the matter is, by telling her you’d think about it just to go back and say no, which you’ve affirmed all along as your answer, is not nice. I’m sure you think you’re sparing her feelings, but in actuality you’re likely causing her to feel worse with every moment. …

Easy fix there. Don’t make it about her, tell her you’re not looking for anything beyond friendship. You’re worrying way to much about small stuff, as life goes on you’ll see the magnitude of this situation is very tiny.

Be straight with her. Don’t let her waste her time and yours, only to have things end badly.

If she wants you to go to those types of events there's probably a couple of reasons. 1. She wants to share her whole life with you and is committed to the relationship. Or 2. Her family is nuts and she needs support. It could be a little bit of each as well. The real question here is why don't you want to do this type of thing with her? Are you guys on different pages in the relationship?

This is good advice. Posing a questionnaire to a stranger is not a great way to get a conversation going. Make observations and encourage the listener to respond with their opinion or personal observations. It creates a flow instead if an interview.

It's hard to tell, exactly, without knowing her personally. She may have had a bad previous relationship/ messy break-up, something of that nature, and is nervous about letting her guard down. It sounds like she has trust issues, maybe she was cheated on? Honestly, these are just suggestions. If you would really like to get to know her, try things her way for a bit. Once she seems comfortable with you, you can gently push to do things your way.

If she doesn't date she will probably not want to come to your house on the first 'hang out'. Sounds like she's been burned and is trying to remove labels from her life. Suggest meeting somewhere fairly public for your first go. Learn a bunch more about her, let her get embarrassed once, let her embarrass you, then ask about a more secluded 'hang out session'. Just speaking from experience here. Comfort level is key, good luck.

What can I say? Women can be players with nothing more than selfish motives too. Chances are you're a decent guy who doesn't deserve that and shes been through some shit. Just keep swimming.

I'm surprised that no one else has mentioned that she is likely attached elsewhere. It could be something new and she was within a decision making process, or she could have been attached for some time now and feeling bored or neglected. Either way, a woman's advice is, you had a fun time and that's all there was to it. Don't take it personally.
