Indian government to pay women $440 for each rape claim that they makeAnd the worst part is, when I posted that video to Facebook with a "WTF" comment, a friend commented "Yeah, why the fuck do these guys disturb those girls?" or something like that. When I explained the real WTF, he was like "Oh but we don't know what these guys were doing!". Yeah right, assume the guys are assholes without any evidence, ignore the girls being inhuman. And yes, it was a he! | /r/MensRights | 23/01/11 10:53 PM
Preparing for massive downvotes, but would like to share my opinionI wonder if the OP missed this part or didn't understand it: "I'm a feminist and actually agree with some of what is posted here and not with other parts." You're cool. We have no problem with you. It clarifies whom that FAQ addresses and whom it doesn't. Also of note is that the post does not represent the majority view of r/MensRights, it's just the opinions of one guy. The post is condescending, unclear at many places and simply not representative of the community, as can be seen from the dis… | /r/MensRights | 14/01/11 11:06 PM
India has expanded the definition of rape to include men who lead women to believe they will marry them, and then fail to follow through with it.This would make some sense in rural India where the only reason a woman would agree to sex is with a concrete promise of marriage. Even in such cases, dumping deception into rape, and based just on the woman's claim, doesnt' seem the right thing to do. However, men of the new, more open culture evolving in cities like Bangalore (and spreading to other places rapidly) will be the most horribly affected by it. In India, this culture is "evil" and "western", so these people aren't going to get much… | /r/MensRights | 05/01/11 12:11 PM
Indian government to pay women $440 for each rape claim that they makeI just don't see why any government would pay it's citizens to rat out each other unless there was a real underlying problem. (Indian here) There does exist a real underlying problem - sex except within marriage, even when not consensual, is a very bad taboo in most parts of India, and so women might try to suppress it and not complain to the police. There's also the general fear of abuse by police, especially for women. But the solution is most definitely not money. The kind of people who are a… | /r/MensRights | 31/12/10 07:14 AM
TIL that there is a proposed constitutional amendment that would illegalize all legislated discrimination against men and even require women to sign up for the draft alongside men.All the replies so far have been about the changes in the subreddit. While I agree that that is probably an important factor, there's another very important factor that has been ignored so far: The way the post was submitted. The previous time, the submission was a question asking our opinions. That invites thinking and formulating a clear opinion. This time, it was an argument asking us to agree to a position (The OP even admits that he "did present this thread in an intentionally more-controve… | /r/MensRights | 16/12/10 10:39 PM
Found on facebook: "Whenever I date a guy..."I guess you misunderstood it the same way fishwish first did. | /r/MensRights | 16/12/10 10:24 PM
Found on facebook: "Whenever I date a guy..."Does that mean your girlfriend logged into your account and liked it herself? Or did you "like" it sarcastically? Please tell me it's one of the above. | /r/MensRights | 16/12/10 10:22 PM

Redditor's wife admits she cheated, plans to take son with new boyfriend's assistance and drives redditor to suicide.I have never before wished for the wrath of 4chan to descend upon someone, but this time I definitely do. It'll be better for him, the kid, and the world at large. | /r/MensRights | 12/10/10 12:22 PM
Last week my 22 floor office building had a fire alarm. We have fire drills every year so no one was concerned and everyone started down the stairs in an orderly way. Then we smelled smoke and heard sirens. The stairs were very packed and slow moving and many of the women started to panic...Without efforts to shame good people into giving up their own safety? I bet I would. | /r/MensRights | 10/10/10 02:02 PM

Gay Man Fired for Touching Woman While Preventing Her From Plummeting to Earth. Self-described "100% gay" skydiving instructor Donald Zarda was fired from his job after a woman complained he sexually harassed her, somehow, while skydiving"homosexual" does not mean "immaculate soul." Could you elaborate what you mean by that? If my neighbour's kid's barbie doll falls in my lawn, I'm definitely not going to steal it, because I don't give a fuck about barbie dolls (well also because stealing is shitty, but besides that). Sexually, women are like that barbie doll to gay men (no pun intended). He doesn't have to be an immaculate soul, he just doesn't even have any sexual feelings towards her. | /r/MensRights | 07/10/10 09:21 AM
My first time in/MensRights: Observations.I agree, this forum actually has a lot of rational people who try to discourage any unnecessary hate speech, at least more so than the internet in general. Among the many female-supportive and neutral posts here, it's too bad that the OP chose to selectively see the derogatory ones specially. They stick like a sore thumb, sure, but in the context of other feminism-bashing communities (and for that matter, in comparison to many feminist communities too), this place is much more rational, equality… | /r/MensRights | 30/09/10 01:56 PM
My first time in/MensRights: Observations.I mean, come on, there are radical feminist boards out there which are a community just like there are boards by every other hater out there. What is the purpose in listing this? She's not asking to just list boards, she's asking if there are any feminist communities which use derogatory language (presumably profanity) while talking about men, in the context that such usage only weakens your argument. I completely agree with her on this, and particularly liked the phrasing using profanity in you… | /r/MensRights | 30/09/10 01:51 PM
