There are a couple of people in my social circle who had kids around age 19-25 on an unplanned basis. They're in their 20s. It's more common for normies to have kids in their 20s than the "15 and pregnant" stereotype because some schools have rolled out morning after pill programs very recently, but this ends after high school graduation.

This is less than 1% of the population of single parents. My friend went to Columbia Law School, which is expensive and has a lot of rich people. There were students like that there and they were slightly overrepresented. 50 year olds emboldened by Clomid and frustrated that other countries have tightened up adoption. My friend's dad was in the army and he joined the army too. No idea when this started happening. It's more of a case of educational pattern rather than class per se. You can have kids in the same neighborhood, one kid prefers trade school and has a kid at age 19, the other kid starts taking AP's in 10th grade and looks toward a different educational format and doesn't have kids until age 40. It's the same here. There are illegal immigrants here throughout the Medicaid system, however I am speaking of the circumstances in my locality which are somewhat... different. It's not really about caring or whether or not they care, I choose to buy insurance that excludes some things - I'm not broke. It's a different system - Medicaid has near-infinite resources for example. A lot of people who are broke use Medicaid or Obamacare, and when they find out you have these programs people have been kidnapped by drug abuse treatment facilities and disappear for years. I would rather not affiliate with those groups.

In my area, it's very different. The treatment you get depends on the insurance that you buy. I've fainted on the subway and lost 18 hours. I just woke up in a puddle. Sectioning happens for a maximum of 72 hours and if you're still considered dangerous to the public, they'll transfer you to jail for 30 days.

It depends on the person. I think most people don't question their gender even if they are gay. People are socialized into these gender roles and theres pitfalls to either of them. The RP communities remind me of gender communities (drag, trans, butch/femme) a lot except that they are straight and cis. People feel that performing masculine or feminine gender roles will lead to life improvement. There's a modern urge to classify things and get them just right before doing the thing. When I go to doctors I always ask prices beforehand because my insurance is different (a religious health sharing ministry). Before the obamacare and uninsured thing started taking hold around 2007/2008, I wasn't able to get prices from them at all.

Not everyone can achieve a college degree even if they have the time, money and energy. What do we do about the folks for whom it is unfeasible to acquire the skills in order to succeed. Especially guys who are more aggressive and hyper, and would prefer to work outside and can't become maids etc. The whole structure of the economy has changed a lot.
