Former, it was once I was out and away from her, I realized this shot had probably been going on the entire time we were together. She didn’t change, it wasn’t me that caused her to do it. It’s the way she was. A terrible person who lies and cheats and justifies it backwards. Get out and don’t do anything bad. She will probably lie to everyone anyway about what you did and why it was your fault. My ex had a years long plan that was working well before I can suspected.

I used to work for a charity org that got people homes. In order to get help, if you were married but didn’t apply with the spouse, you would be rejected or have to get a divorce. It’s pretty easy if there are no assets to split. This came up a lot. Point being, it costs money to divorce, and a lot of people are so broke, they don’t bother. Many people just walk away and move on with life and never officially divorce. But the actual paperwork is easy and not that expensive overall. And you don’t…

I saw my ex was doing dating apps before I was even out of the house. Makes sense since she was cheating the whole time. I know snooping bad but whatever. Anyway, one was fucking Cougarly for older women looking for young men. What a fucking skank. I hope she got a disease. I tried to look up and find her pics. Idk how those sites work and if she blocked me or something. Because I couldn’t find her. She had made some tiktok videos and talked in one how she went and did a sexy shoot “for herself”…

You gotta read the room. This is a sub for men who have gone through divorce. We are going to base our answers on our own experiences and stories we hear. If you want different views ask elsewhere too and get different perspectives to add to what you are hearing. Nobody here is going to change their mind based on what you are saying, because nobody here knows the full story. Ultimately nobody really knows what she is doing or thinking and you need to decide for yourself. Your response sounds lik…

Obviously we can’t answer it for sure. If you’re worried it might be good to dig deeper, comes with the chance she is innocent and is done with you if you accuse her. For me, there were questions a long time ago and I accepted her excuses. Now that I know she cheated, I am left wondering how long it was going on. Where and when, It takes a mental toll, almost killed me. For your own sake, id look more into it without being overbearing.

Even a boss or coworker could work. Just explain the situation. You don’t expect anything from them. Give them a few contacts of family out of town, ex’s info. Not ideal, but I get it, it’s tough when nobody else is around. I would have taken an Uber before asking my ex. It’s not easy to make friends, and you don’t need to rush into dating. But social groups from church, book clubs, self help groups, lots of ways to meet people. And they don’t need to be best friends to ask them for help, and be…

There are things the police can and maybe should do, and there are the things they actually will do. And they do not always match. It doesn’t hurt to file a report, but I doubt the cops will do much unless the court orders it. It’s much more important to talk to a lawyer. If she did this, who knows what she is going to say or lie about.

Maybe you are being told you’re not ready yet. As a fellow friend of Bill, I think you need to spend some time listening to all the corny cliches and taking it to heart. You should not be desperate for human interaction if you’re doing it right. “Lay low for a bit” and don’t push it. It kinda sounds like you want a relationship, and only on your terms. But all these mental health buzz words take a toll after a while. Narcissistic, PTSD, etc are all real things, but get overused and become meanin…

Whatever you do, talk to a lawyer before saying anything to her. Any choices you make to keep things civil or easy can impact things later and come back to bite you in the ass. It’s like when a sports player says there is a business side. Think about the business side first. It may go better than you expect when you tell her, it may go worse. But CYA for all possibilities. Now I may be watching too many Simpsons reruns, but they gave me some ideas for you; you could get a dummy and fake your own…

Maybe I haven’t read enough posts. Because I hadn’t seen a lot about women doing that, but other than ages, your situation could be mine. My ex is 55 and acted like a teen. Went and got surgery, and I’m sure blamed me for getting fat and then losing it to cheat on me and needing to cot off excess skin. She Made TikTok videos. Did that jump thing and is wearing some supposed sexy stuff and is dancing for the camera. She was on cougar sites hooking up. The only word I can use is pathetic. And all …

Make sure the lawyer gets her to sign something saying the items are there and she collected them. Tell the lawyer that if it isn’t signed, he can’t release them. Won’t stop the BS but will be a good tool to fight it. The more stories I hear, especially from men, is that all the agreements you get seem to mean Jack squat. I gotta think this is coming in part from the other lawyers. Like just get him to agree with that and then we fight it later. Since that’s the base agreement, they are only goi…

People just feel the need to say something, anything really , in those situations. Just say thanks. It’s coming from caring. If you don’t care that they care, don’t talk to them. Ignoring the legal advice is being pretty arrogant IMO. I’m almost two years from final agreement through mediation and I thought would be the end of it. It’s not. I wish I would have fought harder, not trusted a legal agreement as being final. Nor believed anything she said was truthful. And a lawyer costs a lot more t…

Random thoughts of mine about it. Normal behavior becomes more intense at the end of the relationship I think. Maybe I just saw her for who she had always been. It wasn’t “us” anymore. Just her because she was done with me. So I used that word. It’s overused but I also think it’s always been prevalent in society. Just noted more, and this used more. Just saying selfish doesn’t seem enough anymore I guess. Plus it has a more defined diagnosis. Kids with learning disabilities were just called the …

A date is a date is a date. That is to say, take it for what it is. One night out. Just try and enjoy it, make a new friend, do something fun with another person. It doesn’t have to lead to anything but a night out. Of course it’s going to feel weird, she’s probably damaged and most likely you are too. Move forward with what you need to do.

Each situation is different. She wanted to blame me and gossip and lie about me since she had to cover for her cheating. I got her a mother’s day card when I was still in the house. She threw it away. She doesn’t want me to be thought of in any good light. So I don’t try. If it helps her move on, great. I can be a bigger person in other ways. I make sure my son gets her a card for birthday and Mother’s Day. He didn’t for me until this year, so she never reminded him I do it. He was 14, now 17, s…
