So, I think I have quite a different view on sed than this sub does, but I truly believe in vulnerability. I try to view myself as a competent, attractive, passionate, compassionate, and successful person (and try to be that person) and expect to be appreciated as that. I guess I mean that I just be myself and don't play the typical games of waiting before texting, playing hardball, and playing hard to get. Obviously there is definitely fun in the chase, I'm not saying be a puppy that is just si…

i wouldn't want to date either of you. Is that really how you want a relationship to start? She gives completely mixed signals, neither of you followed up, you said "I have enough friends" (implying that you only are interested in her if she wants to fuck you), and then she contacts you a week later asking to hang out (which you think is only because she thinks you're cool now b/c you were at a party with her friend). What? Is this what this subred is about? Like why do we accept that girls are …

Just a heads up, if you're trying to actually get a girl to go out with you or take you seriously, it may be best not to jump straight to appearance each time. I forgot where I read this but they did a study based on first compliment and if its relevant to the situation it's much more likely to take than if you tell them they are beautiful/pretty/etc. Try to make it (at least SEEM) more natural and less forced. That being said, I'm sure very attractive guys can go up to girls and call them prett…

your confidence is not what is going to make you likeable. You have to be confident because it makes sense, not just be confident for the sake of being confident. If people aren't laughing, back off and re-evaluate the situation and see why they aren't laughing. Is it a bad time? are the jokes not funny to everyone? are they insensitive? Only thing than a bad joke is a bad joke told by someone who INSISTS it's funny. Read your crowd and don't always assume you're being funny, witty and charming.

I think the approach has been made much more difficult by our society, so skipping it may not be a bad thing. The approach hasn't always been like this... if you live in a town with a few hundred people the approach is different than if you are at a university with 40,000 people in a city of millions. The approach we currently have isn't necessarily the approach that we were supposed to have.

absolutely! I was just trying to say that hormones definitely affect our moods and both physiological and psychological well-being. It could definitely affect your confidence with girls to have a low testosterone level

arguing about little ways to increase your testosterone may be silly, but testosterone levels affecting your self-esteem and drive in general is a very real thing

I don't ever pay for first dates. Gender roles have literally no basis in anything rational. You split the check on whatever you do until you're sharing a bank account or unless you know she's paying for the next event... which will be an equal split in the long run.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
