The funniest ones I find are those who want a woman who is passionate and driven but also chilled out and laid back. I am in my point in my career that I am, living in my own place with my own car because I was precisely NOT laid back and chilled out about running my own life.

Yep, the number of LVM I dated who were so excited that I was "intelligent and driven" but to whom I became very quickly "opinionated" or "hard-work". No, i just don't agree or can disprove your nonsense mate.

I feel like I have finally come to this realisation too. I recently had an amicible breakup with a guy I dated for a year. He was a great boyfriend, emotionally supportive but he was pretty into Christianity and it was something we couldn't reconcile because I am not even a little bit religious. Whereas before I would have gone straight back into online "dating", I am no longer interested. I am tired of talking to mediocre men who can't drive or live in a pigsty or are sex-obsessed or lie or wil…

Tell this to my cousin. Finally divorcing her rich but emotionally abusive NVM and is utterly wretched because he is giving her the bare minimum despite her being a SAHM and not developing her career. She is having to fight for every penny and it is stressful as fuck for her. She works part time in retail and is looking at at having to retrain whilst juggling three children. Always develop your own way of making money ladies, please.

Mine too. I regret some of the men I had sex with. Why did I do it???

I really wanted her to work on her relationship with the sports doctor.

I feel you. Haven't spoken to my (now ex) friend for a year because she chose her LVM who kicked her of their flat when he decided he fancied someone more at their work. My "friend" clung on to him like a nuclear limpet and hung around until he begrudgingly took her back. The cost was our friendship. Sometimes you just have to let these women waste their time at the circus.

I pick the sociopathic who emotionally abused me from 19-25. Took drugs a lot and I had 0 idea. Cheated on me repeatedly Used me for sex Had overgrown toddlers as best friends Had no education A severe mental health problem which he sought no help for Physically pushed me around on the odd occasion. Thank fuck I didn't marry/have children with him and came away from it with a Masters degree. Why the fuck I wanted to marry him, I will never understand to this day.

Same. Mine had secret drug and gambling habits, they were all cold and selfish. I shudder to think at the time wasted with them

You're never too young/old to learn. In my 20s I was a commitment phobe myself and I picked all the wrong men, because I think deep down I didn't want commitment. But I let my standards drop too low. I'm my 30s now and I am a lot more discerning who gets to enter my life - especially if they're a man. I have my own place, a good career and can take care of myself. Men disrupt the equilibrium in life, hugely so.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/08/21 10:46 PM

Same. I'm also ashamed that I dropped my standards to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in order to date a man and not be lonely. I wish I hadn't. I dated some real losers, especially on my 20s.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/08/21 10:05 PM
4

Yeah. He was a complete loser. A parasite who seemed to want to knock up any woman who would allow it and then move on to the next. I spent only 3 months with him and I shiver at the thought that it could have been longer. Oddly, he got a new gf very soon after me and I wondered - does she know he has 3 children he doesn't give a toss about? Or does she know and just not care because he is a conventionally "handsome" man? Either way I am glad I dodged that nuclear warhead.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/07/21 08:32 AM
72

So true. I was once dating a complete sociopath (didn't know it at the time). My dad had a health issue and I confided in said sociopath about it. He had a complete volte face and didn't support me or ask after my dad. It still bothers me that I confided so deeply painful and personal an issue to a complete toilet of a human. We broke up very quickly (I found out he had 3 children I had no clue about, as well as a rap sheet as long as football pitch). But since then I have never confided anythin…

Being promiscuous, sleeping around, trying not to get attached or engage emotionally like men only benefits men. It really does. I don't have casual sex any more. All it ever did was leave me feeling used and empty. I think I was even straight-up lied to in a couple of instances in order for the guy to get me into bed. No more. Care and commitment is now the minimum expected.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/05/21 08:59 AM
20

Yep. When she first broke up with him, I did the friend "What a twat" support package and she went back to him anyway. So I've been the shot messenger, up to her to find out for herself now tbh
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/05/21 03:56 PM
59

Exactly. She said she wanted to be his "friend" (even feeding his cats 2 weeks later when he went away on a boys trip). This was after he told her he had started speaking to another woman at work romantically. She will not let go of this man and I have lost a bit of respect for her in all honesty (I backed off from our friendship quite a bit).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/05/21 02:35 PM
158

Yep. My friend is so desperate to hold on to her boyfriend who asked her to leave their flat when he started fancying someone at his work that she hung around until he changed his mind back. She's so panicked that she won't ever find another man that she feels lucky that he changed his mind back. SMDH

I always hated this. It was like a "right of passage" that guys should be allowed to treat women horribly, using them for sex then dumping them because "aw, he's such a lad". Tired of men having excuses made for them.

It's taken me years to understand that I am not here to be a therapist for a man. He needs to sort that shit out on his own like women have had to do for millennia. I am over being a sponge for a man's neuroses. I have my own shit to worry about, I don't want to be the one who works to change a man into a normally functioning human.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/21 10:27 AM

He's a pitiful creature. Men like him exist in a deadened state, cut off from the full spectrum of human emotion. He will never be capable of loving as completely and deeply as you, and for that he will never be truly happy. It's like the emotional equivalent of being colorblind. LOVE THIS

I did that with my ex. Calmly explained why he hurt me and how his actions were hurtful. Dude didn't give a fuck. He blocked me and I didn't hear from him again. These men do not care. They just don't. My ex wanted to get his dick wet and that was all it came down to in the end. Now, no more walls of text. I simply don't reply and don't give them the satisfaction of a reaction

Same. There's not enough of me that wants a child so I'm best off not having one.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/03/21 07:36 PM

This is why I wouldn't have children. I am not 100% about it, I suffer with mild depression, I don't think I would cope well and I would feel trapped. That and I don't think there is a man out there who would be able to support me in raising a child. I am quite happy being CF.

most millennial men use the years between 20 and 40 to basically act like teenagers and refuse to commit. THANK YOU. This, this, this.

Yep! I remember my ex saying he wanted us to have a baby. Looking back I would have been doing all the fucking work!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/03/21 09:53 AM

Not when women are expected to work full time, mother full time, and manage the house full time. Too many men just want to be Kodak moment dads, not actual fathers pulling 50-50. Hard pass. This. Completely the same.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/03/21 09:52 AM
59

I've yet to meet a man who wasn't full of shit. A man who wasn't emotionally cold, selfish or with a wandering eye. A man who didn't need an actual therapist. A man with even a modicum of emotional maturity and loyalty. And as a Millennial it was driven home to me that I should be thankful to land one of the members of that useless sex so I could be his domestic slave. Fuck that noise. No wonder we don't want children with these wet tissues.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/03/21 09:51 AM
16

Completely right - this is a huge red flag. I have had NVM exes do this to me in the past and I always thought I was making a fuss for no reason but I am not. It is fucking rude and from now on if a man doesn't walk next to me and storms off ahead he is going alone because I am fed up of these NVM having to be taught basic fucking etiquette.

What is this obsession that men have that all women want to be mothers? Growing up, I never dreamed of children. I never dreamed of pushing a pram and creating a life that could go into the world and do the things I wanted for myself - an education, a career, travel. The thought of children makes me feel trapped and burdened. My ancestral home (India) has 1.2 billion people. Maybe I just don't want to add to this already overpopulated world. Maybe I just want to enjoy my life the way I choose. S…

With my on/off using ex, i would send these long paragraphs. 9/10 he wouldn't bother responding. That's how little he cared about how he hurt me. The last time, I was done. No more messaging, no more long paragraphs. I just let his using-me-for-sex behind go through the door and didn't text him again. He blocked me in March and I haven't heard a peep since. Says everything about how I was the one carrying the interaction between us. I will never speak to him again.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/12/20 09:23 AM

Yep. She was calling her a home wrecker and I had to tactfully try and tell her the HE wrecked their home, not the other woman. I have a feeling she will hang around until he is guilted into going back. She does not want to let go at all.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/11/20 07:27 PM
4

Exactly. And she's really blaming the other woman. He's the one in a relationship with her, he's the one who bailed with a shrug essentially instead of telling my friend he wasnt happy. It seems like she's begging him to stay and I feel bad for her.

if he didn’t want me, he would break up with me This is exactly her thought process. She thinks that he will change his mind and I think she thinks if she hangs around enough it will happen. In four years they didn't once tell each other they loved the other. So strange to me. I said that I am there for her but I have had to take a bit of a step back. It's frustrating to see so I will have to wait until she sees for herself that the relationship is done.

My friend's boyfriend did this. He started talking to another woman at the place they BOTH work. He didnt come out and break it off because he's a coward, he just started ignoring my friend until she came out and asked him what was happening. He admitted to it and my friend moved out. My friend still has hope. She is still talking to him, being his "friend" because she so desperately wants to be in the relationship. He sounds so much like a douchecanoe I dated. Had me blocked on FB so i had no idea he had two girls by one woman and a boy by a third. We broke up after 3 months because he was acting shady and he unlocked me on FB so I found out the truth from his son's mother. Confronted him about it (he called me crazy for finding out the truth from his ex) and when I asked him why he doesn't see his daughters he said "they're getting older and they don't need me". Yes! A man wants a "total package" i.e. he won't stick around to help you heal and grow, yet we as women are expected to be fucking full time therapists/mothers/porn stars for the people we date and marry. The older I get the more I think staying single will lead to a better life than having to constant cater to useless men.

Yep. I was friends with a guy. Liked him and wanted to date but he was recently out of a relationship so couldn't offer me more. Cool, I thought. I told him I couldn't be friends because I liked him and I didn't want to get more hurt. Despite his "heartbreak" he STILL wanted us to sleep together. This is bang on right. A man doesn't give a toss about how successful you are or if you have a good heart. They want a stunning, slim young 20something and then suddenly its "oH mY GOd iT waS meAnT To bE".
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/08/20 12:18 PM

Some places put much more value on wealth and ability to provide a good life, ability to provide children above pleasure and enjoyment in a husband. I never thought about it like this before. Great point on looking at the world through western-centric eyes.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/07/20 07:58 PM

Yep! My ex thought I should be ok with intermittent texting/contact. Sometimes he would go a week before messaging me. When I said that wasn't good enough, he was like "Oh, I've been with gf before and we haven't had this problem" and I said "yeah probably because they didn't have my standards and did all the work". Needless to say he didn't like that and we stopped talking.

Lo and behold, said he might be able to meet up in the week if work isnt too busy. Very nebulous and non committal. I replied with ok have a good week. I'm perceptive as fuck. This dude wants to get his dick wet and that's it and I'm not about to be his toy. Deleted and boy bye.

Yap! I had a date with a guy 3 years ago. He was a fuckboy who just wanted to mess me around so I told him he was a user and deleted him. Just this week I saw he looked me up on linkedin. This dude has since married someone else and is still looking me up on linkedin instead of facebook. Just shocking behaviour. Before last week I couldn't tell you his first name let alone his second and he remembered my name. Its beyond pathetic what these guys will do to have their ego stroked.

My ex liked really slim/petite women. He would go on about how his exes were "tiny" (he was 6'6 and went for women over a foot shorter). We broke up in the end because he insinuated I was fat (I am a size 6). It's only now I look back and think about how weird his preference was.

I've dated my fair share of white guys and most guys are douches irregardless of race in my experience but I prefer not to go for a white guy because I dont want to be fetishised and seen as a meek indian handmaid.

Some dudes on these apps are insane. Was talking to this French guy yesterday. We were talking about quarantine (he was looking to break it and I naturally judged him for being so ruthless). I told him that he would need to wear full hazmat suit to meet anyone and IMMEDIATELY he was like "oh I have a full leather suit with face mask and gag". I told him he was gross and he went off saying he didnt mean it and if he did I was being "judgemental" for my reaction. Dude was being a disgusting perver…

They just creep back. It's so sad. Like you have kept my number this whole time like a weirdo. The ones I like best are those who get offended when I ask "who is this?". They are so indignant that I wouldn't keep them in my phone. Congratulations on the weight loss! :)

I just had a guy who I haven't spoken to in TWO YEARS just message me and say "what's up". Just how do you still have my number?!

Good looking men are some of the worst. The number I've been with who lack a basically clean home is shocking.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
