2	Is it possible to be an MRA without being a Feminist? Feminism is not a RadFem circlejerk. One of my feminist professors teaches a class on men and problems they face because of fucked up gender norms, another professor teaches a class on sexuality and gender which essentially questions everything we know about gender norms, my feminist classmates happen to also be egalitarians and humanists that fight for so many causes I can't even count. 1	Is it possible to be an MRA without being a Feminist? Ok feminist here who is also an egalitarian and a humanist. I do not see conflict over aligning myself with several movements...definitely support some of the measures MRAs are calling for, but because of the strongly anti-feminist direction the group is going in I can't say I'll consider myself a MRA until the movement works out its kinks and makes different camps (which I think will happen...it happened with feminism). Objectification is one step towards thinking of someone as property that you can take and treat how you like. This happens for both men and women. Once someone stops considering another person's rights, that person has the potential to actually get support for their transgression. I'm all up for this...don't think it makes sense to have a center for educational reasons and also for treatment for abuse. We should separate the two agendas and proposed a center for abuse for all. My university's women center was the only place where I felt like I could talk to someone about what to do. Where did my friend go when her boyfriend was physically abusing her? The women's center.
