Well, she was engaged and didnt seem uncomftable at all, so I dont think I did more than she wanted, there wasnt much talking besides the movie and some messing around while cooking, I mightve done less than she wanted, or she migth be seeing someone else.

Well, before I was really shy, so I started pushing myself to be more out there, I began just doing small talk, but lately I have been dating people for the enjoyment of it, if I feel im comfortable with someone, and they are with me, we generally start getting together more and whatnot. TLDR: not actively looking for anything, but enjoying it if I find myself invested

Yo! Great article, and it got me thinking: on my last few dates, and in general, I keep to general courtesies (opening doors and such) and i've only paid for coffee once. A while back (a few years ) I was acting as passive as the article describes. My question is; I have never felt so rejected or unwanted that I went full douchebag, i just took a break from the whole thing, could this mean im still in the first phase, even if i just keep to general courtesies for the sake of it?
