How exactly is this related to the sub? Appears to be more suited to TiA.

There may be some truth to that, to be honest, but I'm always hopeful that it will spur discussion and response from people like /u/ScotlandsFavoriteSon and /u/SickofInternetProgs. Instead we get the others.

And it's those latter stories that I completely support and agree with. But now look at the histories of the people responding to me and you can see what appears to be taking over this sub - including their comments here. It's a terrifying reflection of the state of discourse in the world today. But I guess reddit isn't a place for discussion. I am by no stretch of the imagination a SJW, but I'm disappointed with the echo-chamber hate that's so sadly the only way debates are handled any more.

What hurt me is this now all too common lack of civility, empathy, and respect. While I 100% agree with the intent and a good majority of the posts on this sub, it sometimes seems as if it's becoming a reflection of the 'us vs. them' mentality of modern discourse. Look at the vitriolic responses my simple comment is getting and tell me this isn't true.

Are you supposed to be speaking for me? Or are you trying to support my comment by being satirical like I was?

Is this ALL women? Or just the women that you've created some narrative around from a place of unresolved issues or immaturity? Can your mother claim this privilege? Can your grandmother?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
