Bear in mind though, that FGM has many more variations than MGM, ranging from a ceremonial prick or trimming of the labia, to complete removal of the external clitoris. Also, there do exist cultures in Africa and Indonesia where female circumcision is viewed as better aesthetically and health-wise by the women who've undergone it.
