I would hire my own lawyer to handle this just for my protection, i would not trust her to be fair
/r/Divorce_Men27/07/26 11:36 PM
1

Took me about a year, ive been dating another woman and it has been nice, ill say this tho, i will never trust someone again
/r/Divorce_Men23/07/26 03:17 AM
2

Consider yourself lucky, go ahead and hire an attorney and serve her some papers
/r/Divorce_Men10/06/26 08:13 PM
10

Yeah its nothing your doing wrong, those are all excuses for her to justify leaving you to be with the other guy, do you have kids?
/r/Divorce_Men10/06/26 02:14 PM
4

Have you talked to her about this?
/r/Divorce_Men30/05/26 10:15 PM
12

Sounds like you have your head on straight, go ahead and hire a good lawyer and serve her papers, do it now, dont wait, get it on the road
/r/Divorce_Men29/05/26 08:14 PM
7

Dont agree to that, you need to hire a lawyer like right now, dont agree to anything until you have a lawyer that has went through everything with you
/r/Divorce_Men27/05/26 07:44 PM
3

Id go for 50-50 if possible
/r/Divorce_Men26/05/26 03:32 PM
6

A lot of this is gonna depend on your income
/r/Divorce_Men04/05/26 06:43 PM

Obviously a more ideal situation would be parents together for the kids, unfortunately thats not always the best option, the kids can still do good with proper co parenting although this is not always an option, you cant control the other person, if all and all, if it will make you a better person and be a better person for your kids then go for it, just fight for your kids, try to get 50-50 and be the best single father you can be
/r/Divorce_Men04/05/26 12:48 AM
3

I hate to break it to you but this is a temporary solution, this WILL happen again, i wish you the best tho and i hope this works out for yall and to save yalls marriage
/r/Divorce_Men13/03/26 11:04 PM
6

Sorry to hear bro, praying for you, best advice i can give you is get a good lawyer and do the best you can, try not to worry about what might happen, deal with shit as it happens and move forward with it, be there for your kids, your wife is no longer your wife, she is now the enemy, ive been divorced a hear and a half and im doing great, got 50-50 time with the kids and got me a nice place and a new lady, you can do it too
/r/Divorce_Men12/03/26 10:48 AM
4

Ehh im more of a lookin for a good person than i am looks but looks still matter for sure
/r/Divorce_Men21/02/26 01:27 PM
5

Let them buy as much shit for your kids as they want to, absolutely a no brainer, i know its weird and might rub you the wrong way but at the end of the day its a good thing
/r/Divorce_Men16/02/26 02:57 AM
3

It took me 2 weeks to really start moving and being happy again, id say within 90 days it hit me how much better off i was not being with her and how much happier i was
/r/Divorce_Men03/02/26 03:50 AM
3

The whole not driving thing is dumb and a lot of unnecessary burden on you she needs to be driving
/r/Divorce_Men02/02/26 02:04 PM
5

I think you should tell her she needs to figure out her own way to get to work or where she wants to go as its causing you a lot of headache, and its not fair you have to deal with all this by yourself and if she doesnt figure something out your gonna consider a divorce, tell her this is all making you extremely unhappy and you dont wanna keep living like this
/r/Divorce_Men02/02/26 02:02 PM
3

Sounds like you should try for full custody to me, get the best lawyer and town and go for it
/r/Divorce_Men30/01/26 01:31 PM
1

17 month old son is great, you should consider daycare and tell her to find a job or yall are gonna have to part ways, the kid will get interaction and she will get off her butt, win for everybody, try a few things before you jump straight to divorce, marriage counseling or whatever it takes
/r/Divorce_Men29/01/26 10:32 AM
5

Do you have your own family around? Or anyone else you can live with?
/r/Divorce_Men25/01/26 11:25 PM
13

Divorce time bro, you deserve better, hand her them papers and show her you mean business
/r/Divorce_Men25/01/26 10:42 AM

Answered a question? 😅 FRAUD
/r/Divorce_Men06/01/26 03:34 PM

Definitely dont try anything wild on your first time with someone new, get a little comfortable with the person first, also you are very likely to have a hard time to get it to stand up with a new partner just so your prepared for that, i had a hard time the first 2-3 times but after that i was right back to normal, but for a long time i had a hard time finishing, i felt like i could go for an hour and nothing would happen so that may or may not happen for you too, im back to normal on that too …
/r/Divorce_Men04/01/26 08:05 PM

But yes, im a single father with 50-50 working night shift, if i can do it you can too
/r/Divorce_Men04/01/26 07:33 PM
1

I went from being with my kids 100% of the time to 50-50, i will say i struggled with it at first but now its pretty good, i have my work schedule setup to where i keep the kids sunday to wednesday, i work night shift wednesday night through saturday night, so i have all day sunday monday and tuesday to do whatever me and the kids want, nobody to tell us what to do, cook whatever we want, whenever we want, then when im working, i work all night and sleep most of the day so it works out really we…
/r/Divorce_Men04/01/26 07:31 PM

If you can prove shes charging you for baby sitter services that your kid wasnt receiving i would think the courts would make her pay you back as that is a scam
/r/Divorce_Men04/01/26 06:47 PM
1

Well, thats a decision you 2 are gonna have to make, just make sure your involved with the kids life whatever you do, kids need a father
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/26 07:35 PM
2

So yalls relationship isnt good?
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/26 07:12 PM
1

For the record im also a single father with a 3 year old and 1 year old and divorced, my ex cheated on me, but if i get another woman pregnant you can bet your ass im gonna be there and be ready, if i get heartbroke again so be it
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/26 07:10 PM
4

You need to be there for your woman and your baby shes about to have, there is no decision to be made, it is already made, be the best partner and father you can be PERIOD
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/26 07:08 PM
31

Im going to take a guess and say shes cheating on you, this is how women act when they are with another man, ive already been through it and divorced
/r/Divorce_Men19/12/25 05:03 AM
2

Do you have kids?
/r/Divorce_Men16/12/25 06:47 PM

Divorce is your answer, she deserves better so let her go find that
/r/Divorce_Men08/12/25 06:23 PM

/r/Divorce_Men20/11/25 06:35 AM
4

Ouch bro, no can make that decision for you, its on you, but have you tried marriage counseling or anything like that first?
/r/Divorce_Men13/11/25 04:18 AM

6

/r/Divorce_Men31/10/25 11:30 AM
1

Divorce bro, no brainer, you cant be the only person to compromise, its spose to be a give and take relationship, sounds like shes not willing to give at all, be thankful you havent had kids with this woman and move on
/r/Divorce_Men30/10/25 09:54 PM
18

File for divorce bro, i wouldnt waste anymore time or thoughts on this chick, she aint the one
/r/Divorce_Men27/10/25 06:19 PM
1

Yes shes still with the same guy, and yes shes jealous of the new girl for sure
/r/Divorce_Men16/10/25 10:43 AM
6

Dont do it bro!! Bad idea, tell her thats not your problem anymore
/r/Divorce_Men14/10/25 01:45 PM
3

You have to find a way to put this shit behind you, whether you find a new woman, new hobbies, new friends, spend more time with family, do whatever you gotta do to put this shit behind you, she wasnt the one
/r/Divorce_Men10/10/25 10:46 AM
3

Gonna have to find a way to let her go bro
/r/Divorce_Men06/10/25 07:30 PM
2

File for divorce, learn from your mistakes, move on brother
/r/Divorce_Men05/10/25 06:38 AM
4

So most of the time the advice would be to stay at the house for custody/abandonment issues but in your case its for your safety, get the fuck out of there bro, something bad could happen
/r/Divorce_Men04/10/25 10:52 AM
8

Ive lost 62 pounds myself
/r/Divorce_Men04/10/25 10:29 AM

/r/Divorce_Men04/10/25 09:07 AM

I just had sex the first time a few days ago after 1.5 years of none, i had ED bad, just could not get it up, finally she just went to town on it and it was mostly good after that, dont have that issue now all is good, i think its a mental thing, your overthinking it, i know i was, if u start to worry about it, its gonna be a problem
/r/Divorce_Men03/10/25 08:19 AM
1

My ex has primary custody technically i just get em 50% of the time which that was all that really mattered to me
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/25 12:22 PM
4

Yeah your right, probably need to take things slow😂
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/25 12:20 PM
1

Good luck bro
/r/Divorce_Men28/06/25 11:47 PM
5

Bad idea bro, youd be surprised how much a woman can change in situations like this, dont trust her, lawyer up
/r/Divorce_Men26/06/25 07:35 AM
-1

This is just my opinion but i think your goal here should be to just get your money back and thats it, you dont wanna take a mother away from the kids, is she a bad mom? Is she not taking care of the kids? If she takes care of the kids i would not try to take them from her
/r/Divorce_Men12/05/25 07:01 AM
2

Man just ride it out till u get that debt paid for, it will all be worth it, just keep doing your thing your gonna get there
/r/Divorce_Men23/04/25 10:50 PM
9

Dude, sorry what your going through, however, dont sit there and hope for reconciliation with this woman, its time for you to move on, continue being brief, distant, limit communication, and live your best life, you need to forget about this person, theres a possibility she might come running sometime down the road yes, but dont sit around waiting or hoping for it, you go do you, you need to think like reconcilation with her isnt possible and you guys will never be back together
/r/Divorce_Men18/04/25 10:33 PM
5

Have your own lawyer go over all papers and everything like that before you sign anything, yall can share a one as a mediator, but have another just for making sure everythings good, cant trust someone your divorcing
/r/Divorce_Men12/04/25 07:05 PM
2

It depends on the situation bro, but typically they are going back to work
/r/Divorce_Men11/04/25 10:17 PM
13

Only thing you messed up is trusting the enemy, when a spouse cheats and gets divorced, they go from your spouse to your enemy, you need to get that in your head, you cannot trust this woman, she clearly doesnt give a damn about you
/r/Divorce_Men09/04/25 03:05 PM
8

No doubt, and she went to a friends house not her parents or families, yeah right, she cheating bro, if u dont have time to investigate yourself you can hire a private investigator but usually best way to tell is get a hold of her phone, also somehow this will all be your fault, just brace yourself for when you find out to not do anything dumb, keep kids in mind as they are first, they dont need there dad getting into any trouble
/r/Divorce_Men06/04/25 06:01 AM
6

3 months👍
/r/Divorce_Men26/03/25 02:07 PM
10

Sounds to me like a bad idea buddy
/r/Divorce_Men21/03/25 02:43 AM
3

You have a decision to make, leave and take the hit, or be miserable for the rest of your life your choice, if you havent tried marriage counseling i would try that if your not 100% out on the marriage yet
/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 03:42 PM
2

I am at your year 3 mark now feeling like why tf was i ever with her, we have only actually been split 6 months
/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 02:33 PM
3

You can do this man your kids need you, dont let her win, man up and own this shit, hit the gym, hollar at your friends to hangout, dont sit in that house all alone everyday your gonna go crazy, you need to find something to do ASAP, time will heal you yes but sometimes it takes a lot of time, in the meantime you need to distract yourself from the situation, focus on you, keep up with your kids, gonna have to let go of the ex, i did it you can too
/r/Divorce_Men17/03/25 02:32 PM
1

Kids first no brainer for me, tell your wife to either move over with you or call it a quits, you cant walk out on your kids bro, also how far away is she? If its just a couple hours away id consider it and just drive over and pick the kids up once a week or whatever, if its 12 hours away yeah that shit aint gonna work
/r/Divorce_Men08/03/25 01:38 PM
1

I have no clue where mine is and im ok with that👍
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/25 10:55 AM
8

Did you happen to sweep/mop the floors? Why TF not? I dont miss that shit either 😎
/r/Divorce_Men02/03/25 09:48 AM
3

Good for you man you got this, i think the turning point for me was realizing my kids were gonna be ok, after she cheated and left me for another person only thing i could think about was my kids, they seem to be doing ok, kinda glad shes gone tbh
/r/Divorce_Men11/02/25 07:10 PM
1

You ever get accused of cheating on her?
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/25 03:08 PM
2

Sorry for you and your kids but your ex doesnt have her priorities straight, im in same situation tho..
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/25 01:41 PM
5

New dude bro no doubt
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/25 01:40 PM

Im doin a refinance on my house at the moment and whatever is leftover after closing as far as equity goes we are splitting it, call your mortgage company and tell em your situation and they will get the ball rolling for you
/r/Divorce_Men04/01/25 12:29 AM
4

I have 2 year old and 10 month old
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/25 02:00 AM
3

In the exact same boat bro, just finalized divorce on 18th
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/25 02:00 AM
3

I think the point of staying in the house is so they cant get you for abandonment, you wanna stay in the house till your lawyer says its ok, if you havent already hired a lawyer do so now and do what they recommend
/r/Divorce_Men27/12/24 10:20 PM
6

Face that shit, get it all off your chest, dont hide anything, whats done is done and no goin back, man up and own that shit, you will feel better afterwards i garuntee it
/r/Divorce_Men26/12/24 06:17 AM
9

I got cheated on and i filed for divorce immediately, yes it was worth it, lawyer up
/r/Divorce_Men24/12/24 08:14 AM
3

How long have you been divorced?
/r/Divorce_Men11/12/24 05:51 PM
9

I told mine i wouldnt settle for less than 50-50 and be ready to fight me in court, and if i lose so be it, we will constantly be reviewing/revisiting this issue until i get 50-50, it worked, she didnt even hire an attorney to fight me, she agreed to 50-50 and i have my kids sunday-wednesday every week
/r/Divorce_Men09/12/24 03:45 PM
17

Your wife and friends dont care about or respect you at all, id say fuck em and divorce her yes
/r/Divorce_Men09/12/24 07:15 AM
4

I hate to hear it bro, im sorry your going through this but your not alone, im going through the exact same shit, she doesnt respect you, its time to move on, were going to court next week wish me luck
/r/Divorce_Men30/10/24 02:36 AM
2

Praying for you bro, my wife just got served papers today im ready to get through this
/r/Divorce_Men17/10/24 09:55 PM
2

Im going through the same stuff bro, i hate it, best advice i can give you is lean on your family, my family has really helped me through this tough time, dont sit at home staring at the walls
/r/Divorce_Men17/10/24 09:54 AM
1

Im in the same boat man, hoping for 50-50, my wife should be getting served papers today, im next door in mississippi, my wife cheated on me during marriage and i have proof of it on my phone, i wont be paying any alimony, she will get child support simply bc my income is 3x hers, hoping we can keep this out of court and make it quick, im ready to be done with it
/r/Divorce_Men16/10/24 06:59 PM
1

Things suck for me too bro but i can tell u one thing, ill be damned if im gonna let any of this hold me back, its time to man up
/r/Divorce_Men16/10/24 04:12 AM
6

Bro u got this shit, i just got cheated on and we have kids together and everything, if i can do this shit u can too, we got this
/r/Divorce_Men16/10/24 04:11 AM
0

A lot of the time it depends on the situation, for example if she cheated on you or something, most likely she would not get any alimony, if u left her or something then chances are you would pay
/r/Divorce_Men16/10/24 12:04 AM
1

In my opinion grandparents shouldnt have a say so what time u can pick ur kids up, there your kids not theres
/r/Divorce_Men14/10/24 04:57 PM
2

Idk but dont let them get away with it, stand your ground, if it means talking to a lawyer so be it
/r/Divorce_Men14/10/24 04:54 PM
10

This right here is why im struggling
/r/Divorce_Men13/10/24 12:22 PM
2

Cant make someone love you bro, let it go, have some fun and live a little
/r/Divorce_Men07/10/24 08:32 PM
1

I would try to get proof of him seeing someone else if it was me and go from there, but be prepared bc that shit is gonna crush you when you find out, just found out my wife has been cheating on me and we have 2 kids together, dont ask if theres someone else or anything to hint that your on to him, just try to find out, get a hold of his phone, once you realize what has happened you will understand more and be more ready to move on
/r/Divorce_Men04/10/24 07:40 AM
1

Kids are very hard on a marriage, especially when they are young, you just need to tell your wife things are gonna have to change and you cant keep going like this, divorce should be your last option, also, i know its hard now but a lot of the time this will pass, shes probably just depressed from being home with kids all the time, maybe ask her to go out for a date with you and see if someone else will watch the kids for you, and you plan the whole thing, maybe take her to the movies, out to di…
/r/Divorce_Men04/10/24 07:28 AM
8

No advice for a homewrecker👍
/r/Divorce_Men03/10/24 07:49 AM
1

Sorry bro, being alone is the worst part of it, sittin by myself in this house is makin me go crazy, i asked for all the overtime i can get at work and just trying to stay busy, maybe u should try to reach out for some more friends or family, just simply tell them ur having a rough time and need to talk to someone
/r/Divorce_Men29/09/24 04:15 AM
3

I hate to bring it up bro, but if i had to guess your wife is seeing someone else, women dont just be done all of a sudden, my wife was just doin the same thing and i looked in her phone and sure enough she is seeing someone else
/r/Divorce_Men28/09/24 04:06 AM
6

Bro im in the same boat, my wife just cheated on me, she left, and took both the kids and i am a complete fucking mess, cant sleep, cant eat, dont have motivation to do anything, dont even wanna watch tv, but i can tell u what i have been doin to get through it so far, i started taking lexapro 10mg, seems to be helping, and i am constantly goin through my contact list of family members and friends, i am staying on the phone on and off all day and just talking to everybody really seems to be help…
/r/Divorce_Men25/09/24 08:47 PM
3

I hope better days are ahead, im a complete mess right now, no support around, no friends to hangout with, my mom is moving here to help me out for awhile, im just so use to her and the kids being around and now im alone and its miserable
/r/Divorce_Men24/09/24 06:17 AM
8

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but my old lady has been depressed and hateful lately and was cheating, i found out she was cheating she left and hasnt been back now i gotta file for divorce
/r/Divorce_Men23/09/24 09:08 AM

/r/Divorce_Men20/09/24 04:15 PM
1

/r/Divorce_Men20/09/24 04:15 PM
1

Well everyone it is confirmed she is cheating on me and i have setup a consultation with a lawyer, its about to get real, i pray for my kids throughout this whole thing, luckily my mom is willing to move here with me to help me take care of these kids
/r/Divorce_Men20/09/24 04:07 PM
2

My wife wants to divorce me bc i decided to take a new job workin night shift for a year but for a lot more money? Like she cant just tough it out for one year
/r/Divorce_Men17/09/24 06:55 PM
5

I believe thats whats happening, its the only thing that makes sense, she wont say tho, just says shes tired of this and cant take anymore, i think shes full of shit lol
/r/Divorce_Men14/09/24 11:47 PM
8

I tried, she said no, shes done, guess ill be getting with an attorney soon
/r/Divorce_Men14/09/24 11:44 PM
