Circumcision protestors will be at Oprah’s Ottawa showPardon, but if you don't mind me asking an ignorant question, why is MR against circumcision? My understanding is that it's a perfectly good and healthy procedure for the baby boy. | /r/MensRights | 11/04/13 05:42 PM
Circumcision protestors will be at Oprah’s Ottawa showI'm new here. I didn't know this was MR's position on circumcision. | /r/MensRights | 11/04/13 05:40 PM
Circumcision protestors will be at Oprah’s Ottawa showYeah, but it's a doctor recommend procedure. It's good for the life and health of the baby. Edit: So what's immoral about it? And yes, I'm new here. I just discovered /r/MensRights a day ago. | /r/MensRights | 11/04/13 05:37 PM
Circumcision protestors will be at Oprah’s Ottawa showOkay, I'm sorry, but again I don't understand. Are we saying that circumcision in all situations is wrong? Or is it being done without the consent of the parents or something? Or is it being done to boys older than a month old? Because if any of these things are the case, then I completely understand, but you can't honestly suggest to me that circumcision on 8 DAY old babies (I believe that's the age it's usually done at) with the consent of the parents is in any way wrong. That said, who cares … | /r/MensRights | 11/04/13 05:27 PM
Circumcision protestors will be at Oprah’s Ottawa showI'm sorry, but I'm still not understanding, maybe because I only skimmed the article. Is the circumcision being done without the consent of the parents? I'm assuming those being circumcised are eight day old babies, right? | /r/MensRights | 11/04/13 05:22 PM
Circumcision protestors will be at Oprah’s Ottawa showWait, I'm sorry, but I didn't read the article, only skimmed it. Is it okay that the parents make the decision? Who's consent do they not have? Surely you don't think it's wrong to circumcise a baby even when the parents are okay with it? | /r/MensRights | 11/04/13 05:20 PM
| -5 | Circumcision protestors will be at Oprah’s Ottawa showI don't understand. What point/argument is OP or anyone is making on this issue? What's the problem with using the foreskin of boys? They're certainly not going to use it. Or is OP against circumcision? I'm genuinely confused why this post is even in /r/mensrights as I don't see anyone's rights being threatened. Edit: Classy guys, downvoting me for not understanding the issue. I don't honestly understand what's controversial about this issue unless I missed something big. | 13 | Lessons from a feminist paradise on Equal Pay Day"...Swedish activists and legislators are demanding more extreme and far-reaching measures, such as ... monitoring children more closely to correct them when they gravitate toward gendered play." This sickened me a little bit to read. | /r/MensRights | 10/04/13 07:01 PM |
An app to post personal content and judging of only men without their permission - LuLu.Maybe I'm missing something, but how is this different from women talking gossip about men in bathrooms, parties, sleepovers, etc? And just like men won't know the specifics that women talk about in these places, they won't know the specifics of this website. I'm not attacking you, I'm asking. It just seems like the same old thing. | /r/MensRights | 10/04/13 06:23 PM
Being raised by a single mother who wonders why I don't man up.I highly recommend a book called "Wild At Heart." I'm reading it my second time through, and I love it. It's written by a man for men. It's about what makes a man a man, and how to become one. It's been incredibly impactful on my life, and it's been a huge source of self-confidence. | /r/MensRights | 10/10/12 09:19 AM
