this is just most women in general today Not to be cynical, but modern society, and social media in general has ruined most women today. Everybody's easy, finding a keeper is a finder's keep. Like mining for a diamond.

For context on what I have gone through so far - - 5 months since D-day - 11 years together - 3 year old daughter - Single again at 40 years old I still break out when I'm by myself at least 3-4 times a week. It is part of the grieving process. Take this as a chance to also heal yourself - find out your attachment patterns, what role did you play in that environment that may have impacted your relationship with her. You need to love yourself and be whole, before even entering another relationshi…

OP: It'll get better. Focus on yourself and the kids. My divorce is not going to be finalized until later this year and she's already sleeping on the regular with her affair partner, after disposing the family we've build and our three year old daughter. It's demonic. What I realized is that I'm grieving the family unit that I lost, but I absolutely despise the classless lying and manipulative behavior I have seen from her these past few months. So yes, I still cry every now and then but its mor…

Depending on where OP lives if the divorce papers are in process there should be a restraining order on all marital and separate property. Both parties cannot sell or tamper with any major properties specially joint properties acquired during marriage.

Ding ding ding. "I want time alone" is woman speak for someone ready to monkey branch, and she has locked in the next branch. Wife of 7 years did that to me and our 3-year old daughter.

Congratulations. I certainly wish the best to you and your daughter's family, and that the generational cycle to stop with you. If you don't mind me asking. How was your dating life since you divorced? If you didn't date again, how did you fill your social life at the very least?

It's almost always divorced friends or friends that grew up from divorced families. And a strained/non-existent relationship with her father. I really got dealt with the worst hand in her. Now she's repeating the cycle with her new supply and we're so still months away from the divorce becoming final.

I too, have a daughter. Glad to see you on the other side doing well, I hope to be there soon enough. How is your daughter handling it? Hope she grows up a wonderful respectful woman. This is my purpose as well for my daughter. Are you staring to date, or perhaps thinking of remarriage?

It gradually gets better. 5 months from D-day, about 4 months away from divorce getting finalized. I still have waves of grief, it gets tough when my child isn't with me. Trying to find my footing. As what most have mentioned, my child is my light so that holds me together. Hang in there brother

People don't fully heal themselves before entering another marriage. Nobody wants to marry thinking there's an easy way out. People just don't learn their lessons from the prior marriage.

I would posit that this is why divorce rates for second marriages are overall higher - not because being divorced and marrying again is bad (well depends how you look at it), but it's more of men (and women alike) being so afraid of being alone, and treating their second marriages as a rebound. Very unhealthy. Take time after your divorce. I personally am giving myself at least 2 years to even consider getting into a serious relationship, if at all. Meanwhile the ex wife is now 403ing it up with…

I like your level headed take. My final papers are still a few months away, but she already moved out. I also have joint custody. It's a little jarring having a big house to myself when my kid isn't me. 5 months from D-day. Grief still rolls in a few days a week, but I think about the future know several days a week. How old is your kid? I can tell you'll be in a much better place a couple years from now. Hang in there

The woman divorce brain just works that way. Going through it right now with my ex that also cheated, and would place ridiculously stupid demands. My lawyer would even laugh at her demands knowing full well it shouldn't hold water in court. I also pleaded to fix it, but she doubled down on the gaslighting lies and adultery. You'll feel a lot of emotions - anger, rage, grief, loss, worthlessness, sparks of a better future. My point is sit with your emotions, it's normal, it's tough. Rely on friends and family. You're in month zero, so you have a long tough road ahead, but it will feel better gradually. Don't go jumping into another relationship. This is a chance to heal the effed up parts of ourselves as well. Date casually if you so desire, but don't commit for a while, if you even want to do so again. Take care of…

It wasn't your 900 that spelled doom on your marriage. Your ex has been cheating for a while, and is trying to find the most plausible (albeit stupid) reason to dump or justify her monkey branching. Cut your losses, move on. Sounds like you have no kids, that's a big plus.
/r/Divorce_Men20/07/26 03:23 AM

Meditation, whichever works. Solitude is very underrated, and today's society confused solitude with loneliness. Rely on friends and family, you're about to go through a tough road ahead, that can take months to a few years.

Depends, sometimes the woman has been the root cause or was solely responsible for breaking the marriage, vice versa. The truth is someone between the two just stopped choosing the other, and that's when it went downhill.

DO NOT RUSH INTO A MARRIAGE BECAUSE YOU WANT A FAMILY. You're chasing an end and using a means to get there, this is not the best approach. I fell into the same trap 10 years ago. Tied it up with the first woman that said yes, and made the biggest mistake of my life in the process. 10 years and a wonderful baby girl after (which truly is the best gift I got in life), the marriage fell apart unfortunately. However I will be truly regretful that I have failed to give my daughter a complete family.…

Hire a PI if you live in an at-fault state. Or at the very least use evidence of her adultery (through PI) that she is basically giving you false accusations
/r/Divorce_Men05/07/26 08:26 AM

Should have a lawyer at this point. I highly doubt that her closing accounts that belong to both of your names is legal to begin with. There's two fronts you have to face: Yourself (shock, grieving, denial, anger, all combined) - this you can manage. Rely on family and friends. Divorce proceedings - have a competent lawyer on your side. You cannot control your soon to be ex's actions but you can settle this in court.

"my family doesn't have difficult conversations" "We never fight in our family" Translation: I grew up an avoidant due to trauma and the nature of my family growing up. Didn't learn this as well after the fact. We truly learn a lot in this process looking back.

Pussy and the "pink mist," per John Griffin in Life 2.0 YouTube channel. That guy gives grounded nuggets of wisdom. Here's another painful exercise: Ask yourself, "what did you like about her during dating and marriage?" For those of us who ended up in this situation, more often than not the answer is just sex. We live and learn. I'm like you OP, 39 years young. I hope the next decade of our lives be nice to us.

What do you do on days where it's just you in the house and kids are with their mom? Like you, I am keeping the house. She moves out next month, but I do want to be ready to handle the first night without my daughter. It's quite a big house for myself. 2800 sqft, 5bed/3ba. At least my daughter still has her room and we'll redecorate as we see fit. I also get to finally take the master bed back.

Watch John Griffin Life 2.0 on YouTube. You're missing the familiarity of being married and having another person around, not loneliness itself. Look within yourself, you'll come out better. I truly think this is a gift to reshape our lives for the better.

I am also in the fortunate situation of being able to keep the house. My 4 year old daughter gets to keep her room. I already explain this to her that this is "daddy's and her's" house, but she would also need to start staying at "mommy's house" which is a rental nearby.

Not gonna lie, I'm also still working on this part, but have started accepting the idea. Watch Life 2.0 on YouTube. Some women bashing but I tend to ignore those parts. He mentions a lot of truths that does make sense. I think this is also a chance to heal ourselves. Take it one day at a time, your kids deserve to see the best you can be.
/r/Divorce_Men16/06/26 04:24 AM

This is another tough pill to swallow, but if the mother of the kids will be around, acceptance of what she did, and forgiveness (for your peace of mind) will be necessary, for the kids sake. It truly is unfair, but I believe God will not choose us if we are not capable of this trial. You got this. Feel free to message if you need someone to talk to.

Talk to your bases legal, and see what resources they can give you. You need to be up front to your command about what you are going through specially when the kid's safety is involved. Do not do anything stupid that will harm you or others. Always think of the kids, they will need you no matter how this ends between you and your spouse. My heart goes out, stay strong brother.

Beautifully written. Why shake your hand? 😂 Jeez not sure if he's playing you or unknowingly playing himself. But yea, the types of men that women leave their spouses for... it almost always confirms that she was never the person their spouses think they are. It just becomes really painful when kids are involved. Ugh.

Painful truth. I wouldn't end up marrying an emotionally immature and selfish woman if I didn't have issues myself. Unfortunately took 10 years of my life, and an innocent three year old daughter that I now have to model and educate on righteousness, ethics, morals, and God.

100% on the affair partner. It's certainly a discount Dollar Tree/Temu version of the spouse any ho is leaving behind. Take care of yourselves and kid/s. The ho is checked out and at some point in the future will come crashing down hard.

Yup, don't move out yet at all OP. This has potential legal sweeping repercussions which might affect your custody with kids.

@OP and please get an STD test If you live in an at-fault state consider hiring a PI to leverage against divorce proceedings. If living at a no-fault, just do your best to prepare, it's gonna be painful. Survey all your assets, community and separate property so you know what you might stand to lose/keep. The next year or two will be tough. Just think of the kids, it helped me a lot from spiraling and losing myself. Let me know if you need someone to talk to. Prayers to you and your kids.

Like u/stacysmomlovesme said, flip the thought towards yourself and ask, "what is the point of my existence?" In my case I usually find role models to emulate. Then find peers to overtake and vanquish. Find a mentor. Be a mentee to a wise old man. Human civilization is built on an interesting mix of teamwork and competition. This pushes our kind towards new frontiers. Find your place. Shoot for the stars. You might land on the moon, but you'll never get that far if you have never started.

Here's a red pill answer for you: you're being beta just by simply asking this. Abundance mentality Absence of oneitis Self respect None of them applies to you at the moment. Number 3 should nail down the idea to your blue pilled brain. Now go out there and slay your next pussy.

Because men own their shit. Never expect women to swallow an ounce of accountability for any sheeeet they put themselves in. There always has to be an external factor responsible for their misery. AWALT.
